Might be worth searching through Lotus colours. AFAIK, most Roadster colours were already available Lotus colours renamed. For example my Electric Blue (3BU00) is in fact Lotus Laser Blue (B120)

Regarding the TPMS, Most European cars do not have it installed, i.e. they have the transmitters in the wheels but no sensor system in the car.

I don't have direct experience with upgrading Roadster lights (mine has factory HIDs) but I have had good results fitting aftermarket 35W HIDs to halogen projector type lights in several other cars. Am I right in assuming that the halogen Roadster lights are projectors or not?

Do you definitely have TPMS installed? Yours is a UK spec car from 2011 and although these have TPMS transmitters in the wheels they (mostly or always) came without the antennae and TPMS is therefore not functional.

I bought a new one from Tesla in the end. The old one was going to be very difficult to get the needles off without damage in order to change the face plate. I think less cars sold in the UK than anticipated so some UK designated cars found their ways to Asia in late 2011 / early 2012.

I do not think that you can rely on the model year. My EU VIN #670 was made in UK (and UK destination VIN too) in June 2011 but first registered in Japan in June 2012 so will now be designated a 2012 car when I register it in the UK.

It sounds as though the parking pawl on the transmission is stuck in the locked position. There is a write-up about it here Tesla Roadster – Transmission lock but that describes unlocking a functioning transmission lock in a dead car. Yours may have actually failed or stuck in the locked position.

Is the main problem here water ingress into the controller only or does it often fail by other means? What I am getting at, is whether it is worth trying to improve the water resistance of the existing unit?
