Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I think those of us who had FSD beta prior to 11.3.6 followed the path to 11.4.x, while those who were waiting for beta to catch up to their car software went directly to 23.12.10 and 11.3.6 and have been following that upgrade path. I don't think there's anything special about being on 11.4.4...
As long as you're on FSD (beta), you won't be offered a newer non-FSD software, so no "monitoring" of versions necessary. How they decide to merge versions?... who knows. What to do if you're subscribing and choose to unsubscribe?... then you may be offered incompatible versions again.
It's great that you can talk to the car to set most options while driving (instead of fiddling with menus on the screen). I'm always surprised that you can't set the car to vocalize back announcements, but are required to read text on the screen instead.
I'm afraid Tesla wanting to collect multiple times for software capability that it has never actually delivered (and still may not), isn't really a company point of view most would condone. Until FSD is non-beta and delivers on its functionality, you should at least be able to credit the...
Obviously, you have 2022.44.100, not 2023... Since that version is higher # than the current wide release (2022.44.30.10), you will have to wait at least until the current FSD 11.3.2, which is on software branch 2022.45... comes out wide. Until then, no way for you to get the necessary...
Post Mar '19 folks weren't promised that Tesla could actually accomplish "handsfree/mindfree FSD", but they were promised that they were entitled to whatever the product "FSD" became. As long as someone gets "handsfree/mindfree FSD", they are also entitled to it. That's what the product was...
Should include the ability to transfer (or credit the original purchase price) until the feature is delivered. Once promised FSD (not L2 FSDb) is delivered, FSD license can belong to the limited remaining life of the car. Until then, the product hasn't been delivered.
If Tesla can't actually create a real (L4) "FSD", post-3/19 buyers get only what was listed (or developed for them since). But FSD was never sold as being *limited* to only those few features available at the time. It was sold as including whatever features Teslas added to that product named...
(moderator note: This thread is spun out as a sort of purgatory for these unresolvable differences. What happens when the irresistible force meets an immovable object…)
I think you will find that post-3/19 people who bought FSD were promised FSD, whatever that became. While no specific...
10.69.25 is actually on 2022.44.25.5. No one knows what software V11 will release on... there's no public release yet being discussed. My guess is it will be on an early 2023 release. Elon's "next week" mean nothing.
Getting that version now would be quite unusual... 2022.40.4.5/10.69.3.2 was only released to employees and skipped over (to 2022.40.4.10/10.69.3.3) almost immediately.
Release dates are irrelevant. Numerical version numbers will control what is "before" and "after" regarding updates. I would be surprised if the next general release wasn't on the 2022.44 or later branch, so it's still just a matter of waiting a bit more.
"100 miles on auto pilot" is no longer required for FSD beta. An appropriate software version is required. If you've already passed 2022.36.20 you'll wait for whatever the next wide release is. Probably in the next couple of weeks.
I think it's been announced on the 2022.40.4.10 software version, not the 2022.40.10 version. That makes the current internal V11 beta (on 2022.40.5) still a higher version number than the 10.69.3.3 FSD beta release.
I doubt they are using "safety score" any more. Probably no need to "opt out" either. As long as you have it requested, just wait for the next software version where it's widely available.
I received FSD beta (10.69.3.1) without 100 miles on AP. There definitely *IS* a reason to go ahead and request FSD beta if that's what your want... otherwise you will probably continue to be offered software versions that bypass the next FSD beta release target.
No, you don't have V11 of FSD beta. That's referring to a different software component (UI). If you haven't requested FSD beta, you will continue to get offered the latest software whether it is or isn't compatible with FSD beta. Currently, none of the FSD beta software is on 2022.44
No, the 100 miles of AP driving is obviously no longer a requirement. I received FSD beta without it. I assume most folks who aren't getting FSD beta aren't getting it now because either 1) they didn't actually request it, or 2) their software version is more recent than the version for the...
You need to go into the screens in the car and request FSD beta. Then you need to wait for a subsequent FSD beta version (eg., 10.69.3.2, V11, etc.) with main software on a higher version than you already have (2022.40.4.2), so you can upgrade to it. Maybe that happens soon, maybe not so soon.
It would mean you would miss the CURRENT V11 beta code (at 2022.40.5), but I think it unlikely that most people would get access to that version without some revision. Further V11 revision means it could be on any subsequent software version they choose. As long as you have requested the FSD...
This "100 AP miles" requirement is NOT correct. I think I put on a total of about 5 miles after requesting the FSD beta a couple months previously, yet I was offered the beta immediately after it went to wide release. You need: 1) an appropriate software version, 2) have a paid or active...
No, that won't be it. The wide FSD beta is currently stuck at 2022.36.20, and the internal V11 beta is at 2022.40.5. You've already passed the FSD 10.69.3.1 software level, so you'll need to wait for the next point it synchronizes above your current version.
You'll just have to wait until the FSD beta code catches up to 2022.40 or later. Your software version is already too new (2022.40) to get the current wide beta of FSD 10.69.3.1 (on 2022.36).
I think the OP was complaining about the speed of NoA, not FSD beta. FSD beta won't be handling any of our freeway driving yet. My personal experience with AP on high speed freeway curves when I first got the car a couple years ago was pretty scary (waiting too long to turn in, not slowing at...
I haven't seen anyone who has tried that who isn't already on software 2022.40, which would keep that from happening. I think if you requested FSD beta (even if you never got it) before, you wouldn't have gotten 2022.40 downloaded. But now, everyone else has already gotten 2022.40. You have to...
People who already have software 2022.40.x.x will have to wait for V11. It's only people still on 2022.36 that can now get the wide release of 10.69.3.1, since its built on 2022.36.20. Can't downgrade the car software in order to get the FSD beta.
If you hadn't requested beta before, you may have already been offered 2022.40, which precludes you from getting 10.69.3.1 FSD beta. I requested beta a couple weeks ago and have few, if any, autopilot miles on the car (one of the previous requirements) and I'm downloading right now (first time...
If you're still on 2022.36.x.x, anyone with paid or subscribed FSD can get beta just by requesting it. If your car is already past that software to 2022.40.x.x or beyond, you'll have to wait for the FSD release to catch up (eg., V11).
