Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Just keep driving and using it, you’ll get used to it in no time. One pedal driving is the laziest driving I’ve ever done and I love it. I never wanna go back. I wanted to change it lie you but the SA convinced me to try it for a while and it’s a dream.
You’ll only notice it during your first few drives. I had the same concern coming from a 3 and totally forgot about it after like 5 drives....till now that I read this post. You'll get used to it and barely use your rear view mirror anyway. Trust me, you’ll love this car if you’re looking for...
Make sure the base value they used is aligned with your car. Use NADA. I totaled my car (my fault) and Geico used a base model (50)kfor their estimate and depreciated it and offered me a check for 46k (including taxes)
i went on NADA website and put in my options and my car was actually worth...
I don’t have in-house charging. My car lives outside and I live in cold ass NJ. I’ve never had issues ...this is my second car. I try to make sure my car has more than 20%...and I’ve been good.
So true..,the guy at delivery told me that people slide under the car to look for issues. . I gave it a quick look and I was on my way. Like you, I’ve owned a 3 prior and now have a Y...I’ll buy it 10 times over. I love my car. The only initial hesitation was that I loved the 3 too much that I...
Had a 3 so I’m not a new customer. My Y came in September with no issues at all. Satisfied customer and yes I would buy it again and again and again. btw I don’t have home charging. I would normally charge at work but since I’m remote, it’s all supercharging....and yes I’ll still buy it.
how am I being a jerk? You were promoting people not following the rules and I said you break it first and let us know. The rules are clear - you’re required to maintain ownership for 3 years. You started with saying we shouldn’t give the state much credit to get their money back. Dude, you...
You’re very funny...once the title changes hands and or you cancel insurance on the car, they will be notified. I almost lost my license because I canceled my insurance and gave my car to charity. They immediately sent me a letter to return the plates.I didn’t see it on time and paid $300 to...
These are newbie problems. I say buy the car, enjoy it for a few months, then decide what’s necessary....and I’ll tell you the key fob is definitely not necessary. You have a phone and card but that’s my opinion....and yes you can open the trunk and frunk remotely from the app.
I think you should return this rental and get another one. This makes no sense for them to keep giving you the same vehicle. I won’t take it if I were you, twice is enough stress.
Only thing I’ll say is send the supercharger address to your gps prior to arrival so it can prepare the battery for supercharging. Otherwise, don’t worry. Enjoy your free supercharging....it’s expensive!
Ive only used super chargers since I bought my car in September and have had no issues. I normally charged my previous 3 at work and supercharged like 4 times a month, I don’t have charging at home and we’re remote. No issues at all, no mileage lost , nothing ....
Wow! I didn’t even think of that. Mine was March 2019 so that makes sense. I notice the coldness so much with the Y, it’s annoying. I never cared about heating steering wheel before this.
If you’re referring to the heat pump...it’s meh. I have the Y and it was a huge deal to ppl cos it’s coming with a heat pump. My 2019 3 heated much faster. The Y takes much longer...obviously this is Tesla so we’re talking about 2 minutes more instead of like seconds and the steering wheel stays...
If repairable, make sure you use a Tesla-approved body shop. Don’t listen to the insurance company about alternatives. You can find it on the website or google it.
If totaled,
-Insurance will try to get you the lowest amount..esp if you have Geico..fight them till the end. Your car is within a...
I’ve experienced this before.
1) First you want to make sure you’re not sharing with someone else so if you’re parked at 1A, make sure there’s no one in 1B. Otherwise, you’ll be sharing so it’ll be lower charge
2) If you didn’t put the supercharger location in your navigation, it won’t...
That happens when you close the app while driving. I get the same error when I do that . Once I open the app, it’s fine. It’s just letting you know that it won’t lock it when you leave because you closed the app. Leave the app running in the background and you’ll be fine.

Def the 20s contribute to the rougher ride. I did a test drive of both 19s and 20s and had to go with the 19s. I heard and felt everything on the road with the 20s. Also, change your steering to standard . The sport made it feel hard to steer to me.
Not true...I did a test drive of both and there’s a clear difference. Loved the look of the 20s but I had to get the 19s. The 20s were rougher and louder, I felt every part of the road and bumps. I even brought people to test the difference and it was clear to me.
I guess everyone here is new. This is not a big deal. This was the same schedule for the 3. They give you your car at the last month of the quarter. March, June, September, December. I don’t understand the outrage when you wanted to delay your order. Just pick the quarter you’ll prefer and...
Delay till you’re ready. Who knows? The car may even be cheaper when you get it and they’ll adjust but at least you’ll have your original price if FSD goes up.
I’m glad I delayed mine cos the car went down 3k when I was ready. I’ve heard you can’t hold the order past 1 year but I’m not sure.
I didn’t lose mine...they gave it back to me as a credit to use in the Tesla store. I had concerns about owning a new car when I work remotely so I reached out and told them I’ll cancel. They responded by saying if I reorder, they’ll give me credit for the $100 upon delivery. They did it it...
I’m glad you reached out to Tesla. Sometimes you have to deal with them directly than go from info here ...the anxiety is out of control to be honest.
You’ll get your money. Happy driving!
To me, the anxiety is unsubstantiated but that’s just me. The fiscal year literally just started in October, how can 16 million run out in a month when ppl are barely buying new cars? They always said you’ll get your money as long as you send it in and it’s approved. It may not be as quick but...
