So I did do the two coats but only the second coat on the front of my car since I was pressed for time and lazy. I might go back this weekend to add another coat. Do you recommend using a clay bar after already applying the spray? Not sure if the clay bar removes the existing application.

I just picked up a Fremont MY. Mine was in really good shape. I haven't found any issues and I've had it since Wednesday. Honestly, the paint job was really good which is surprising considering how bad the paint quality is known to be out of Fremont.

A ceramic coating is different than a ceramic spray. They basically do the same thing in terms of protecting but the coating lasts longer (5 or 7 years is what companies usually say). People say that ceramic coating gives better protection than a spray but I can't tell. I have a ceramic coating...

Same for me. Did it last week when I purchased and picked up my car. The FSD was installed when I picked up my car. Great experience. Just had to tell them to do the transfer in the app while doing all the other pre-delivery stuff.

Same I just did a ceramic spray which lasts about 6 months to a year (depending on conditions). Easy enough to apply after I washed the car.

Agreed with basically everyone who responded -- get the new long range Model Y. Honestly, the price difference isn't enough to go with a used version. You get the full warranty and new car.

Depends on the delivery center. I mean some places have cars on the lot (or close by). Others, like where I live, have to ship them from out of state. So, for example, Tesla can't in Michigan keep cars in the state (part of old state law that helps dealership monopolies) but only bring them in...

Yes, I got the red color upgrade. Tesla will take the cost of the upgrade off your car price after you place the order. The price reduction is on whichever color upgrade is more expensive so, yeah, cost of black would be taken off.

Oh, good. I need to read more carefully. So would you say that having both the mud flaps and PPF on the rear doors is enough? Also, did you get PPF on the front? I'm thinking of doing that but not sure if it is needed.

I got the Kavanic ones off Amazon for my Model 3 a year ago. They look great. I haven't had much reason to take them off so can't comment on that. I have read reviews for other brands and the same complaint about taking them off is made. Even Rimetrix --- probably the most recommended company...

I don't think I'm getting PPF. Did it on my Model 3 and there are parts where the rocks ripped the PPF on the lower bumper. I'm sure it protected my car's hood etc. but for the price the value isn't there IMHO. The only part I'm going to PPF is the back door area where rock chips hit the car...

Great point. I agree. Most of the other versions of 19 covers are one direction which is nuts. There needs to be a right and left version so the airflow works on both sides.

Agreed. I would always go with the 19s and just get a good cover. There are decent ones on Amazon and other places for cheaper than Rimetrix. I have one on my Model 3 that has worked well.

I've found around 1000 but it is a quote with hood and bumper. Didn't get one for just hood. I assume the hood might be cheap since it is one pretty straight forward piece.

Yeah, I agree with you. The price differences on the same configured car is likely the result of one of the cars sitting around longer.

Sorry. it was 47,420 (discount from 50,990). I only took it since I'm also getting the color upgrade discount as a current Tesla owner so price will be 45,420 and that's a 11% discount. Once I included the tax incentive (7,500) we are in the 38k range which is a great price for a MYLR IMHO...

Okay, I just put my order in for a MYLR Red. The Tesla agent had to grab one that was going to Chicago but we got it done. Now onto all the filling out stuff on the Tesla app work. A bit different experience than it was 5 years ago when nothing I did was really on the app.

Okay, just sold my existing car via Caravan so now going to get a MYLR in red. Just waiting on sales rep. to let me know when one to purchase (they have to be shipped from out of state...grrr Michigan).

I was told by a Tesla rep that the color upgrade discount will be applied after you submit your order. So, for example, if you are buying a MY in red then Tesla will reduce the price by 2k. Also, please not only one color discount will apply (can't do both exterior and interior color upgrade).

I just got a call from a sales representative but he didn't offer an extra 1k on my trade-in. Congrats to you. Agreed...Tesla is very motivated and pushing sales.

Yes, that is what I was told. You purchase whatever inventory car (at the existing discount price) and they take the amount for the color upgrade off the purchase price.

Yes, exterior and interior color upgrade (can only pick one) and, yeah, discount doesn't apply until after you purchase (hit the purchase button).

I'm in Michigan. I'm looking at the stealth grey MYLR. It's at 45,070 (marked down from 48,990. That's an 8% discount so it is better than what I previously saw but not 9%
