Is there an upfront fee for warranty repairs?

I’ve owned a Tesla for 8 years now. Service was best in the world in the early days. I’d call them, we’d talk about it, and they’d say bring it in tomorrow and we’ll take care of it. Fast forward to today…not the best in the world any more. I’m sorry for the folks at the SC, same great people...

Is there an upfront fee for warranty repairs?

So if I honestly believe it is a warranty issue, and they disagree, they're going to charge me $185 to tell me we disagree and they won't fix it?

Is there an upfront fee for warranty repairs?

The title says it all. I've read elsewhere in reviews that our local service center asked someone for $185 to look at their problem and confirm it was covered by warranty (it was). This sounds nuts, but after so many complaints about service I have to ask.

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

One month waiting. Still waiting for my 2022 MYLR to get my FSD trial. Got a sinking feeling it's not going to happen.

Checkout that exosekelton (not a typo)

    Good Year Electadrive Tires!

Same question. Looking for a set for my MYLR and hours from Tesla SC. Good guys here in town at Goodyear, so wondering about the tires.

The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car, regardless of powertrain in March 2023 [InsideEVs]

"The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car, regardless of powertrain." From insideevs. https://insideevs.com/news/666589/global-plugin-car-sales-march2023/ Whew. Heady to be a small part of that journey. Now just restore the customer service experience to that of 5 years ago and Tesla will...

Not an exoskeleton- wait say what?

An engineer from Munro Associate, looking at the photos from the quarterly report, said the Cybertruck in progress shown at the plant is definitely not an exoskeleton. He likened it to a Model Y transformed into a pickup…longer, higher, and made of stainless steel panels. Huh? Supposedly the...

E-Z Pass in the Model Y

Never could get it to work on my 2016.5 MS. I ended up with a portable EZ pass and held it out the window (actually through the sunroof opening) and that worked like a charm. But, on my 2022 MY, attached my SunPass (looks the same as the EZ pass) to the upper windshield just to the right of the...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

With today's price hike of $500, if you order red multi-coat your list price now goes over $55K, so no tax rebate to you. Tesla is showing us they can, and hinting at continued price increases. This will stimulate sales for a new and different reason: worry about more coming price increases, so...

Inventory cars gone, inventory cars remain...

Checking the inventory new cars for sale in my area, there are plenty of MYs on the list. Funny thing, they all are priced just over $55K. I suppose all the ones that changed price last week to under $55K are gone. I've been reading stories that has happened everywhere. What will happen to all...

IRS weighs in on tax rebate, mostly bad news for Model Y

MSRP is listed on the Monroney sticker. I have little doubt that will be the IRS standard, as that is what the manufacturer reports. Fell free to argue with them, you might convince them to wade into that morass.

IRS weighs in on tax rebate, mostly bad news for Model Y

Looks like more orders for the 7 seater! When just using the front and middle rows, looks like the same legroom for the passengers, range is 326 instead of 330 miles, and net cost is +$3000 for the extra seats - $7500 rebate, thus net cost is $4500 less (slightly diminished by the increased...

IRS weighs in on tax rebate, mostly bad news for Model Y

I think most model Y orders are the 5 seater, which Is not eligible for the rebate. Thus "mostly"
