Tesla (the company) killing itself slowly?

The yellow screen problem and their refusal to fix it under warranty is frightening - see Yellow screen? Force Tesla to Replace it! What will be next in disavowed warranty claims?

Tesla (the company) killing itself slowly?

Took numerous appointments to get the airbag replaced as was bounced back and forth between the SC and Mobile - the SC would refer to the Mobile which would take 3 weeks or more for an appointment, then they would cancel saying they didn't have the parts - then start all over 3 times. The...

    Model X and S Updated

Couldn't agree more with the well-stated captioned post. Same as with my 9/30/2016 S75 that became relatively obsolete 10 days later with introduction of the V2 AP to my surprise and chagrin. There's No entry point to buy a new car and the "old" ones crater in value with the new ones constantly...

Model S/X deliveries drop off cliff, down 56%

With my 2016 MS that I purchased on 9/29/2016, had I known that the AP 2.0 would be available just days later, obviousLy I would have waited. Since there's no entry point with model years, and the depreciation is so atrocious, how can anyone buy/trade for a new MS when it may have relative...

    AC Noise - Loud!

Thanks for the infolrmation. BTW, had SC appt on Monday. They replaced the outside air actuator and Amazingly, the AC is cooling great, the battery usage is back to 250-320 wH/mi and the compressor is quiet like it was when new! I wonder if that all could be due to a faulty valve?? I hope the...

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

There definitely was a 26.3 briefly as I have seen screenshots that others have taken also. Must’ve had serious problems and they removed it. Will try the power off if the SC appointment on Monday can’t resolve the problems. Thanks.

    Software update: 2018.26.2 6341863

Same here. My 2016 MS75 got rolled back today after less than 24 hours. The 26.3 much improved my AC, battery usage and loud compressor. Now, back to the same problems.

    AC Noise - Loud!

9/30/2016 MS-75 Very loud compressor and poor cooling this summer. Recent battery usage is way up also, A recent FW update to 2018.26.3 brought a big improvement to all 3 problems - but then they rolled it back today (26.2 less than 24 hours later) and back to the same problems. Waits for SC...

S100D Air Conditioner Cuts out on Humid Days?

Tesla pulled back the 26.3 to 26.2 and the cooling problem has returned with high battery usage. AC compressor sounds like a jet turbine running wide open.

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

Got 26.3 and AC started working great and energy usage much improved. Then, today they took it away with an update to 26,2 and back to the same problems as before. Never heard of Update going backwards.

S100D Air Conditioner Cuts out on Humid Days?

Received 26.3 update last night for my ‘16 MS75. The Airconditioning is now working great and the battery usage is much better - low 300’s compared to mid 400’s. Lots of sweating and talking to the Lexus dealer about going back to their products after much frustration.

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

2016 MS75 AP1. Since this update, the energy usage is reported as >400 wH (in the past was 290-320) and phantom drain yesterday was 45 miles used with a 95 mile loss of range. Also, the Airconditioning is cooling very poorly. Range mode On has minimal impact on both problems. SC says battery...

Still worth getting a Model 3 if Electricity costs more than Gas?

Paying 6.8 cents per KwH fixed price for 18 months in Texas. A bit less than 2 cents per mile compared to my Lexus Hybrid - ES300h at about 6.5 cents per mile. BTW, we also have No state income taxes and housing costs are still $150-$200 per foot for most houses - or $300 per foot for very...

Battery impact for extended road closure?

Thanks DukeofURL. Presumably the cabin and battery would already be heated (at least initially) since you wouldn't likely start out on a trip with a road closure. With the rough estimate of 1% drop per hour, say a 4 hour closure, would result in only a 3-4 mile loss? So, with an arrival buffer...

Battery impact for extended road closure?

I have heard of several instances of extended road closures due to the recent cold weather throughout many parts of the U.S. I wonder what would be the impact of becoming stranded in such a situation? Take a notional remaining trip of 80 miles to the nearest recharge (say a SC) with a current...
