Hi all,
I have received the It's Time to Build email yesterday, but still haven't made up my mind. I was wondering if other TMC members wouldn't mind shed some light on my questions below.
Spoiler:
These came up while reading on ecomodding.com. I did a quick search but wasn't able to find relevant info on this. I know it can be used to help lift the trunk lid or stop items from sliding off but my questions are:
1) Is it removable (without causing damage)?
2) How much of an impact on fuel economy can be expected at highway speeds, if any?
Rear Visibility
1) I can't even remember if I checked the rear view mirror at all during the short test drive. I've read some find the view tiny, plus the fact that some reported that adjustments for side mirrors are somewhat limited. Can this combo not potentially create hazards?
2) Do the backup camera have additional adjustments available other than on/off? (such as focus, direction, night vision, etc.)
3) Would it be correct to assume that with 3 average-sized adults sitting in the back, one can no longer see what's behind the car?
Rear Seats
1) IIRC the stock rear seat headrest cannot be adjusted, how does its height feel for the passengers? (does it properly protect their neck, etc.?)
2) Any suggestions or add-on items for passengers who find the headrest uncomfortable?
3) What is the (approximate) vertical distance from the surface at the edge of the seat to the floor? Some have reported that the seats are too low.
4) Can grab bars/handles be installed (aftermarket)? They do help with entering and exiting the vehicle, reduce body lean when making tight turns, and some people sometimes just want to grab onto something
Thank you.
