    "Tessler" or "Tezzler"?

I think that it's a Tessler not a Tezzler and definitely not a Tezzeler... thoughts?

I don't even understand the question.

I speak the 'es' sound in the middle of the word rather than the zzz - I mean the buzzing zz sound in "Buzz" not 'zee' or 'zed'

I hear people like Robert Llewelyn say "Tezzler" - I don't think that's right; Anyone speak Russian? After all that was where Nicolai came from.

A simple web search reveals that Nikola Tesla's name (as pronounced by a native Serbian speaker) is just like it would be pronounced using ordinary English rules. There is no r sound at the end! Maybe this is a new england problem. Nikola Tesla pronunciation: How to pronounce Nikola Tesla in Serbian, Croatian

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced, "Yeah, but who makes it?". At least that's what I hear people say most of the time.

Oh dear; this is going wrong! I was interested to figure out the ss or zz sound; I've tweaked the poll - thanks Thumper.

I couldn't get that pronunciation site to work, I did google the problem first but without luck.

No, it's an England thing, at least in some parts of the country. You say "drawer" and they say "drawah". You say "alpha" and they say "alpher". They kinda switch them around.

Woops, I voted Tezzla because the title had the "s" version with ER at the end.

    I say "tess" - "la"

In my example I guess I should have used "Tesler" and "Fiskah".

Having listened to quite a few interviews with Elon, I can say that he'd vote "Tezzla". I voted "Tessla".
