The anti-theft system of the Roadster is interesting, but (if I managed to get the Roadster) I would also add a Satellite anti-theft system like I did with my Mercedes SLK. In the case of my Mercedes SLK such a system is able to prevent the ICE to start.
Would the Satellite anti-theft system work also with the electric engine of the Roadster?
If you run OVMS you can track the Roadster as long as there's cell phone coverage. I believe you can even lock the car out with the security pin if you have it.

Actually, you can call Tesla and they can find the car through their network (if you have left the GPS tracking on.) The roadster has a SIM card (for cell phone connection) to allow Tesla to query the car for its logs. It also has a GPS and can report its position (and speed ;-) )as well.
