I finally took my Model S on a long road trip and using the superchargers for the first time. I went from Columbus, OH to Milwaukee, WI!
I went to 2 superchargers on the way up and each time the supercharger cost me money.
The first supercharger we stopped at had a Barnes and Nobel. My wife decided to buy some books costing me $30! Not too bad.
The second supercharger was at an outlet mall!!! My wife ended up buying clothes for our son and ended up spending $200!!!
Luckily on the way back down one supercharger was at a service center and the second at a restaurant with no shopping areas around.
Despite the supercharger being free I think it cost me more money than an ICE car!!
May have to second think bringing my wife on my road trips!!!
Has this happened to anyone else?
I think this info would be very helpful for Tesla to push businesses to put superchargers on their properties.
