I like where the I84 chargers will be according to the current 2015 map, but we're already a quarter of the way through the year and there is still not one showing as "coming soon". I have seen other threads that magically seem to have information on progress of SC before the updates hit the official map, but not finding anything with advance notice for these chargers. The Couer d'Alene SC now lets me get through to Missoula just fine, but I have no chance to visit my mother in the Four corners area until the Boise and Twin Falls/Burley chargers are in without taking another vehicle - and anymore, they are obnoxious to drive!
I also have heard a rumor that this might be at the casino. Here is a reliable hint: Pendleton, OR is on the way....
Agreed, but the map in this thread seems to suggest Pendleton (not Stanfield or Hermiston):I actually hope that's not the case. The reason being if I want to go to Spokane or further east on I-90, my current option is to head north after The Dalles and join I-90 in Ellensburg. If they put the SC in Hermiston, that reduces the total distance by 40 miles. Driving all the way to Pendleton and then back to Hermiston so I can drive north kills that advantage. Also, for those heading west on I-84 and want to go north to I-90 now have to drive 153 miles from Pendleton to Ritzville or 183 miles from Pendleton to Ellensburg. MS60s in bad weather will have to range charge to Ritzville and write off Ellensburg.
We'll see what happens. Maybe Tesla couldn't get a good spot in Hermiston and was offered too good of a spot at the casino to pass up. Either way, I'm not complaining about I-84 finally getting some attention!
