Feature idea: Notify me about parking meter readers

It'd be great if Sentry mode noticed parking meter readers near the car and sent an alert via the phone app.

Oops. I was really thinking about parking zones with a time limit and no meter. (What's the right term? "Parking enforcement officer"?) You could make a case for a timer app with a loud alarm.

(If they patrol a 2-hour zone once every 2 hours, you get 2-4 hours; average 3. On bad advice the other day I moved the car down the block at 2 hours, and later did a web search and learned one has to move the car to another block, and did that. Not sure if one can move back to the first block 2 hours later. I suspect nobody was patrolling.)

Even if you get alerted when a parking enforcement officer is near the car, that wouldn’t help you unless you were also near the car, in which case you could have moved it and avoid a ticket.

Maybe it's over-optimizing but I figure the 2 hour window effectively begins when an officer first comes by, and if that window extends past the limited parking hours, it's AOK.

I did move the car and avoided a ticket, but the first move was within the same block. Either they weren't sticklers on that or they didn't come by.

Moving is no big deal unless open spaces are scarce.
