    CyberTruck (CT) waiting room

My Cybertruck was delivered to Mechanicsburg, PA today. Unfortunately I had to cancel delivery for various reasons, the top reasons being low stock price, and unanswered questions on how Powershare will integrate into my home and Powerwall setup. I cancelled and re-submitted an order to go to...

Has anyone fed TWO 200amp subpanels from ONE 200amp disconnect using ONE Gateway?

Agreed, even Tesla said they don't know how to integrate Powershare at this time with Cybertruck and Powerwall. Based on the Powershare webpage they think I could purchase 2 Powerwalls instead of my planned 4 Powerwalls, and then plug my truck into the system to add an additional 123kwh worth of...

Has anyone fed TWO 200amp subpanels from ONE 200amp disconnect using ONE Gateway?

Yes, it is more complex that cookie cutter, but easily done. Tesla even said they can do it, they just don't want to. I have a few electricians that would do it for me, but Tesla won't sell them the hardware.

    CyberTruck (CT) waiting room

None taken. I'm planning to purchase this knowing it is half baked, and hoping the functionality comes later. My EV alternatives are none. There is no other vehicle that fills my specific needs or wants like the Cybertruck does. If I delay, I risk waiting another year. In that time, my beater...

Has anyone fed TWO 200amp subpanels from ONE 200amp disconnect using ONE Gateway?

We have been monitoring the house for months with maximum power draw. (Every light, appliance, house, car charging, hot water flowing, freezers open and running to cool, etc) We are well under the peak loads and have shown this to Tesla. They understand it can be done, they just choose not to do...

    CyberTruck (CT) waiting room

Agreed. As a Jeep owner who offroads some serious hardcore Black and Red rated trails, the Cybertruck is lacking in the offroad department. However independent suspension is naturally poor offroad. A solid axle will offer great traction and stability. And AWD is NOT 4WD. This is mostly a simple...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

No thanks. Ugly and I'd rather not carry around a generator that I will NOT use 99% off the time.

Has anyone fed TWO 200amp subpanels from ONE 200amp disconnect using ONE Gateway?

I have a 30kW solar array and want to install 2-4 Powerwalls. We live in an old stone farmhouse, so for ease of running wires there are two 200 amp panels inside the house. We never draw close to 200 amps even with everything powered on including heat, hot water, kitchen, car charging, all...

Discussion: Powershare [V2X feature currently announced for Cybertruck]

Tesla Energy stopped today to view my home and electrical setup for Powerwall installation. I requested that the install is plug and play with my Cybertruck Powershare. I explained to them that my Foundation Series should be arriving Jan-March. Unfortunately Tesla Energy does not know anything...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

I really dislike the thought of a built in gas generator. Seldom used, extra weight, needs maintained. My thought process is if I absolutely need a range extender, CAN I rent or borrow a gas generator to put in the bed? This would be less than ideal Simply wondering if it can be done. I'd much...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

If I wanted a cheap junk truck that takes yearly maintenance and upkeep, I'd keep my current ICE vehicles. Owning a Tesla Model Y has clearly shown that electric is superior, for my application.
  16. mzairboy

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

This would be most comical. The reason I haven't purchased a Rivian is because of the Tesla supercharging network, and the fact that I believe the Cybertruck offers superior capability and ruggedness. I am merely curious as to what the Cybertruck is capable of charging wise while being mobile...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

Indeed. That is why I am buying a Cybertruck to replace my current ICE vehicle.
  18. mzairboy

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

Why? I have a Cummins Diesel swapped vintage Jeep Pickup Truck. I have a Gasoline Jeep. I had a Tesla Model 3 before trading it on a Model Y. I will NEVER buy a new ICE vehicle again. Electric is superior. The faster I can sell the Gasoline Jeep for the Cybertruck, the better. Ideally I'd like...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

Base range of 340 miles is perfectly adequate for me for 99% of my use. I have ZERO interest in an ICE truck. The bed mount generator would simply be for long haul trips or towing a trailer into areas where the supercharger is not present in upstate PA. I already own a generator, so it would be...

    Bed Mount Generator for Cybertruck

Does anyone know if the Cybertruck can charge while driving? An option will be available for a bed mount battery back range extender. I assume this becomes an "extension" of the battery capacity. However, with bed mount outlets and Powershare, is it possible to charge and drive at same time? Bed...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Can the range extender plug and play as a powerwall? If so, instant purchase for me. I want to purchase 4 powerwall for my farm. If I could go with 2 powerwalls and an extender for extra capacity for my home system, and then unhook and plug into Cybertruck when needed. I have equipment to lift...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I came across this photo of a tarped Cybertruck last night. Real or fake, I'm not sure. I don't know much about this YouTube channel, but I believe they were at the Plaid event and do collaborations with Brooks from Drag Times. Is Tesla sending out a few trucks before the next unveiling?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Agreed. At first I thought it was a Y on the left, 3 on the right and a S chassis flipped on the side, but an X on left and S on right make more sense and a casted chassis on the side/rack makes most sense.

Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Discussion Thread

I've imagined this for a long time. A world with a connected grid and Tesla products. During the day your solar array is making electric and selling it to the neighbor or charging your powerwall. The sale of those electrons are kept in a “electron bank”. Later in the week you go on a road trip...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm most certainly going to put a MAGA decal on my Cybertruck based on this comment. I might even put one on my Model 3, right beside my DEPLORABLE decal. What am I going to purchase with my TSLA shares once I sell them? An off-grid farm powered by solar and powerwalls. With a big American flag...

    AP Cameras badly blinded.... 2019.40.50.5

This happened to me yesterday. I was parked in my 50 degree garage and went for a 20 minute drive. After about 15 minutes of driving in 35 degree weather an alert popped up on the screen saying that my drivers side A Pillar camera was blocked. I wasn't on autopilot so it wasn't a big deal. When...

What product do you use for the deepest wettest looking gloss?

I use P&S Beadmaker after every wash. Very slick and great gloss on my Blue Model 3. I've found it doesn't last much longer than 4 weeks, but if you want something to apply every time you wash the car as a final wipe down and to enhance gloss, Beadmaker is economical and works fantastic. I...

    Plasti Dip Aero Rims?

I don't have a solid answer for you, but I'd be afraid to put the aero covers back on. I've heard PlastiDip is very durable, but I'm sure the metal clips would tear through the rubber coating.

Automotive Wax and Top Coating Experiment

I washed the truck and here are the results 45 days after application. Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax: Completely gone. Panel does not bead water. Turtle Wax Ice Seal & Shine: Half gone. Sheets water yet. P&S Beadmaker: Almost completely gone. Still feels slick but doesn't bead water anymore...

I have Suntek Ultra PPF (Front bumper, fenders, and hood) and Ceramic Pro on the Tesla. The PPF is something I'd do again no questions asked. The Ceramic Coating is a waste of money IMO. I have not seen the benefits of this product. Maybe on a show car, but not for a daily driver. Hydrosilex is...

Let's talk winter tires for the 3

Non OEM wheels/tires are not covered under warranty so I'd assume you would have to pay for a loaner type service, but I do not know for certain. I hadn't asked.

    Has Anyone Tried Bead Maker?

I attempted to take pictures of the dust on different panels with my phone but you could not tell a difference in the photo. I took video of washing the panels and the beading properties but don't know how to upload video direct to a forum post. I probably have to upload to YouTube first and...

Let's talk winter tires for the 3

If you get a flat on a non Tesla tire, they cannot order you a new non Tesla tire, even if it is mounted on a Tesla wheel. If you provide them a non Tesla tire, they will mount it after you sign a waiver, for a fee. They could probably stick a Tesla approved tire on the wheel where you had a...

    Has Anyone Tried Bead Maker?

3 Week Update on my Hydrosilex vs Beadmaker vs Turtle Wax Seal & Shine vs Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax. Vehicle has not been washed in 3 weeks. All panels are filthy with dust. The Hydrosilex panels are obviously less dusty. The Beadmaker and Turtle Wax Ice Spray are the second cleanest, and the...

3 Week Update Truck has not been washed yet. All panels are filthy with dust. The Hydrosilex panels are obviously less dusty. The Beadmaker and Turtle Wax Ice Spray are the second cleanest, and the Turtle Wax Seal & Shine is the dirtiest of all the panels. I ran the truck through a touchless...

Let's talk winter tires for the 3

I did a lot of research on winter tire pricing and am sharing the info here so it can be helpful to others. Note I am in the state of PA so your pricing may be different. Tesla offers an 18” wheel and winter tire package featuring the Pirelli Sotozero Serie II tire for $2,000. TSportline...

    Has Anyone Tried Bead Maker?

Something I experienced this weekend: My Model 3 was ceramic coated last year. When the ceramic coating was professionally applied, the shop recommended pressure washing the car as a no touch method. They said it would get clean that way. I was never impressed and it was never all that clean...

Sentry Mode Alarm needs to not be audio-triggered

Deactivate sentry mode from the app around 8am. Do this for a week or so. He may realize he is no longer setting off your alarm as he drives by and since it no longer offers him a thrill, he might decide to discontinue revving his engine while driving by.

Automotive Wax and Top Coating Experiment

3 Day Update I pressure washed the test area. All panels beaded water similar. Hydrosilex may have a slight edge in shedding water off. Drove down the road at 55mph. All panels shed 95% of the water. I ran my hand over and Beadmaker is the slickest, followed closely by Turtle Wax Seal & Shine...
