The camera is used for surveillance, but not the way you're suggesting. It's an integral part of the AP system and is used to ensure the driver is paying attention to the road while AP is in use.

What does this mean?

My Feb 2022 MSLR yoke started peeling on the left bat horn. It stared with a little pimple from the sun. I mainly hung my hand over the right bat horn and it did not start peeling until just last month. I think the warm UV sun had more to do with peeling then my hands.

Like evee says, at that cost ... jump on it. I don't have experience with this, but it seems you'll feel like it's a brand new car. Even if the car lasts just one or two more years, it'll be worth it.

USS vs Tesla Vision was configurable during the FSDS trial. USS could've remained enable by selecting Standard in the Park Assist setting. A Tesla Vision setting would replace USS functionality. See post #3 for a screen shot of the Park Assist setting.

I thought the same. However, the setting for Standard/Tesla Vision is still there under Park Assist in the Autopilot menu for my 2022 yoked, USS MSLR on 2024.3.25 after free FSDS was ended on May 1. I will be keeping the setting on Tesla Vision. I think the visualization is superior to the crazy...

Yup, the toggle is there. I was blinded by the afterglow of free FSDS and could not see. So we loose FSDS but still have the very nice Tesla Vision Park Assist.

I'm not in the market, still love my Yoked 2022 USS MSLR. What would be a reason to change an order. Why? The SC network is match by absolutely none. So what other EV make of vehicle is better now because of their charging g network, 🤔 none.

My Feb 2022 MSLR came with two fobs. There they sit, with the battery protect strips still installed, on the shelf where I put them when I came home after picking up the new car.

I've just discovered that treating the phone as a key card works every time. Put the phone by the B pillar camera when the car does not detect it in your pocket. My 2022 MSLR on 2024.3.25 presents every time when the phone is brought near the B pillar.

The extra difficulty comes from many variable variables as the space in backing out is not static.

Backing out is harder than backing in.

FSD is embedded in the firmware upgrades, not the other way around. Your car will get the firmware upgrade. It's up to the owner to enable the embedded FSD.

We're patiently waiting for what your insurance company says. Totalled, maybe that's why insurance costs have more than doubled lately, because of catastrophic costs due to battery damage.
