Model S Plaid 19" vs 21" rear inner tire wear question.

You sure that coke ain't got any Jack in it because clearly reading comprehension is a challenge for ya atm. Enjoy your all seasons. lmao

Model S Plaid 19" vs 21" rear inner tire wear question.

Comparing tire wear between a 500+ treadwear rating all season tire to max summer perf rubber is being obtuse to the nth degree. Then you're also not going like for like with diameter and width? lmao PS4S is OEM to Porsche 911 GT3s, M3s, Bugatti Chirons and 2021+ MS. It's a very awesome...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

-1.1 rear camber via adjustable arms + all other alignment settings in spec per Tesla = 10K miles on rear T2 PS4S, minimal wear to date including the very innermost edge. If these tires make it to 20K+, I'm pretty much making my money back on the N2itive arms. Caveat is I rarely, if ever...

Model S Plaid 19" vs 21" rear inner tire wear question.

If 19s were a viable option for my MSP, I would no question just go that route.

Model S Plaid 19" vs 21" rear inner tire wear question.

I like to fly with my instrument panel front and center. Data is gold. Me? -1.1 rear camber, toe within factory spec on low mode. 9-10K miles on T2 PS4S. Barely any wear. You?

Your tire wear experiences are worthless without... alignment specs.

Terrible service experience, why my 2023 Model S is a regrettable purchase

I have zero tire wear issues thanks to the N2itive camber arms. My car feels even lighter and more powerful since I run 21" Forgeline wheels replacing the made in China cast Arachnids weighing in at a porky 35 lbs each. The Track Pack brakes give me ridiculous stopping power and look even...

Terrible service experience, why my 2023 Model S is a regrettable purchase

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sucks. Period. Unfortunately, rejecting a new Tesla because of some panel gaps or paint probs doesn't address the fundamental issue of Tesla's parsimonious, anti-customer-centric third world service center staffing. This ain't no Lexus, but to put...

Model S pulling to the left post collision

You need new alignment shop friends. It's the most bogus urban myth I've ever heard. Your car should drive arrow straight at all speeds whether asleep or wide awake (latter preferred).

Model S pulling to the left post collision

Uh, wrong. Please stop. I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I'd honestly dump my Model S if it ever gets in an accident beyond a bumper scuff. You may want to find a really OCD race alignment shop that'll also look at your subframes to make sure everything is truly straight and...

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Here's the only downside I see opting for Track Pack brakes which is consistent with sourcing any parts from Tesla. ***It took Tesla nearly 6 months to replace two rear AP Racing calipers*** Lesson learned: Do not ever get in a situation where you need to replace TP components. Mine was only...

Vendor Imfamouns Tire Wear Solution!! (2021+ Model S & X) w/ EVPE shims

That’s the benefit of going with the much more expensive camber arm option. No wondering. You can precisely set camber to spec. If I wasn’t ocd about my cars I’d opt for these shims.

    FSD Steering wheel nag

I personally can't stand nudging the wheel while the vehicle is at speed. I simply click the scroll wheel a notch or two. If FDS doesn't nag me at all like EAP does, especially in dark conditions, I may be swayed to pay the $2K fee.

Vendor Imfamouns Tire Wear Solution!! (2021+ Model S & X) w/ EVPE shims

Not OC, but Monrovia Alignment installed my forged N2itive arms and did a great job. Small shop that was recommended by N2itive's owner. https://monroviaalignment.com/ These shims look like a good budget solution and smart that they supply a longer bolt.

Tesla unable to align steering wheel - Looking for advise

Tesla Service Centers are a last resort for me and will be the primary reason why my MSP will be my first and last Tesla. It’s a simple tie rod adjustment that any decent alignment tech should be able to handle or anyone with a lift and a wrench in <5 min per adjustment. It’s only time...

Model S LR vs Plaid for Second Model S

IMHO, if you have to ask the question, just get the LR. My ego wouldn't allow me to settle for anything less than the Plaid which at the time was the fastest EV sedan on the planet. If I was dumping the ICE for my first EV, I had to satiate the thirst for the craziest power experience to...

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

Sounds to me your “skepticism” is really rooted in emotional trauma from owning a service center special. Just like that William from seattle poster who thinks every model s vibrates like his. You both suffer from Tesla schadenfreude. Dump your 🍋 already Lol

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

Why would you be skeptical of a car that is world renowned as one of earth’s fastest of all time? Iirc it took me <20 seconds to go from a hwy 55-60 mph punch to exceed 190 on a flat road in Mexico somewhere. Your X carries an extra 600lbs of weight compared to the S with worse aero. It was too...

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

Funny how you measure to the tenth and hundredths of a second yet don’t hesitate to add 200lbs of weight to the MSP. It’s one of the lightest EVs in its class at 4800lbs. Don’t fat shame our MSP. lol Carry on

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

qq - when replacing the track pack calipers, just the calipers and reusing the existing pads and rotors, is there any reason to burnish the brakes yet again?

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

Anything but the very latest Model S fails the look back test for me in the current Tesla lineup. Thus, this new 3 or X or Y or Cybertruck will never have my name on the title. Proportions are all wrong to visually delight.

RPM Tesla Updated Carbon Fiber Spoiler

Has anyone installed their Jupiter spoiler on a Plaid with pics? I'd like a bit more of an aggressive look to the rear. I will be having it professionally installed at my trusted body shop so not interested in adhesion, but more so on quality long term (fading, fitment, etc).

How I doubled my tire life

8K miles on my '23 Plaid with OEM PS4S running -1.1 rear camber via N2itive forged arms... negligible wear even on the very innermost tread. I hope to get 20-25K miles out of the rears. Pretty amazing what basic vehicle alignment knowledge gets you in return. Shock of the century.

  46. bkcyk

    2023 Model S is a disappointment.

I default to low and manually raise to high via long press which works brainlessly great for me. I have very little tire wear on my OEM PS4S because I had it professionally aligned to ~1.1 rear camber via N2itive arms on low. I'm hoping to get 20-25K miles out of my rear tires currently at 7K.
