Also, I'm pretty amazed at how this closely watched estimate came out so close to right:

We are excited about this opportunity, as China is by far the largest EV market in the world and Chinese support for electric vehicles has been exceptionally strong. Initial capacity is expected to be roughly 250,000 vehicles and battery packs per year, and will grow to 500,000, with the first cars expected to roll off the production line in about three years
sorry I don’t think so$TSLA my biggest trade ever
made an absolute killing of the highest order
sorry Steve Eisman
There was nothing in that statement that said anything about the Model Y.Did they just delay the Model Y for another year to mid 2021? Imho, they said in about 2 years, when the articles regarding chinese factory came out.
Positive gross margin on Model 3 in Q2 is a nice surprise! It all looks pretty +ve to me - even saying than they don’t expect a hit from the tarring wars.
Maybe I read too quickly, but I didn’t see anything about reservations?
A bit dizzy atm, but afair what was said was that they intend to show MY in March '19. It was we who guessed the date of release.Did they just delay the Model Y for another year to mid 2021? Imho, they said in about 2 years, when the articles regarding chinese factory came out.

Did they just delay the cars they are going to build in china for another year to mid 2021? Imho, they said in about 2 years, when the articles regarding chinese factory came out.
We expect construction to begin in the near future after we get all the necessary approvals and permits. From there, it will take roughly two years until we start producing vehicles and then another two to three years before the factory is fully ramped up to produce around 500,000 vehicles per year for Chinese customers. Tesla makes Gigafactory 3 in China official, plans to start production in 2 years

See, i scratched that Model Y. Let's just go with 'cars' if you feel better. And meanwhile i do think so.

I don't expect it to be brutal, given this report. Elon shouldn't even try to provide a legal defense of any lawsuits, even if he knows much about them. That would be pretty silly.Bull and Bear debate coming up on CNBC, should be interesting. Conference call could be brutal, hoping for no surprises. Hope EM is prepared to answer lawsuit questions with authority. $313 now. GLTA!!!
