Trunk lid when opened?

It's not an issue, your can set the opening height of the liftgate (if powered) at your convenience.

  1. Adjusting the Opening Height (Page 10 / User manual)

If Model S is equipped with a powered liftgate, you can adjust its opening height to make it easier to reach

I have the same and related questions:

Does the trunk open to any level and stay there? I.e. it doesn’t “pop all the way open manually” when opened? From pics, it seems quite tall when fully open and would seem to hit my opened garage door. So, if I manually open it to half height, does it stay there until I shut it?

It opens really high. I didn’t see any ability to limit it.

There are two hand holds under the lid to pull it down.

The image showing the screen shows the curve of the inside of the opened trunk lid.

And to be clear, it won’t stay “half opened”? It’s manual, so once you start opening it, it will open all the way up once it passes a certain point? Ugh, I guess that’s hard to explain, and I’ll just wait til I get the darn car!!! Hurry Tesla, assign me a VIN and deliver it!;)
