Finding a recurring problem is worth every penny of a replacement unit. When you're making 500 or more of something per week, the sooner you get it right, the better.
Especially when your next generation car is expected to sell 500,000 a year.

You need to have a line for -0- replacements. So far there are 26 replacements in the poll total. If that out of 40,000 delivered, that's ok, if it is out of several hundred reading this thread then that's excessive.
another major factor is that a lot of these seem to be requests by owners after noise without any evidence that the noise is of any harm. I have multiple noises too, but I have no need to ask about them. Tesla seems to just be playing it safe on those. So realistically there are probably a lot less of these that are actual issues. You need to have a line for -0- replacements. So far there are 26 replacements in the poll total. Why does it matter if there's any "harm" or not? If the drive unit is producing excessive and/or abnormal noise(s) vs. when it was new (or new ones coming off the line) and Tesla agrees to replace it, then that's that.another major factor is that a lot of these seem to be requests by owners after noise without any evidence that the noise is of any harm. I agree we're going to need a new poll (if there isn't one already) w/a choice for 0. And, if possible, it needs to be closed after a certain amount of time and a new one re-opened. After all, someone can answer 0 now and need 1 or more replacements in the future.
