Or I could just post a pic.....
And some answers to questions: the rated range is 252. The drive motor has recently been replaced and the tires are new.
No. 991, sig red, black interior with red piping, carbon fiber trim, P85, approximately 74500 miles. A little curb rash on the 21s, needs the pano motor replaced, otherwise pristine in and out. PM if interested for pics. Asking $39,000
I just went to the Yakima website and input the info for my 3 in the roof rack finder. A rack came up as fitting. $547. This can’t be right so probably worth a chat with customer support to confirm.
Delivery this Saturday in CO. Reserved 4/1/16 & configured in June and was contacted for deliver last week. VIN assigned yesterday. AWD (non-perf), long range, red with premium black interior, standard wheels, enhanced auto pilot.
Ah, you want a retractable sunroof, like the Pano on the S. Tesla doesn’t have that for the 3. You’re right. Not a deal breaker for me at all. The motor on my S started kujunking the day after the 4 year warranty expired. $1,600 to fix for something I open maybe twice a year. I declined to fix...
Configured just now but I never got an invitation since opting for AWD. Just logged on this evening by chance and there it was. Bam! Sept.- Nov. delivery.
CO CPA here. First, happy Tax Day to me! I'm about to pour myself a single malt. Second, I can beat that. One of my clients told an agent that he was being unreasonable with an information request and was barking up the wrong tree on an issue. When the agent persisted, my client ignored the...
Most sellers offer free Carfax reports prior to sale to prove the car wasn't in an accident. Tesla should offer that. Otherwise, spending $20 to get a $6,000 refundable tax credit is a pretty good deal.
In my case, not at all. I've driven my S for more than 3 years. It's been a blast. I would rather drive the Classic S for 40,000 miles than wait for more tech. Why wait for the D, Ludicrous, Auto Pilot, X, Summon or the 3 (I do have a 3 reservation)? People like me jumped in with both feet...
Not a big concern for me. I have an S for big luggage or golf bags. I have racks for bikes, skis, snowboards, etc...For anything bigger than that, I will rent a truck or van and not risk ripping up the interior of my S or 3.
Other Old Timer thoughts.....
1. Don't obsess over delivery order. It will make no sense. It will not be fair. Float on.
2. Don't obsess over an insignificant detail. Others will. Let them. Float on.
3. Listen to the Old Timers. Float on.
It's been a while since I've posted anything or even visited the site. I just come here now to look for rumors of technical updates or common issues since I'm pretty settled in with my baby now. People like Flasher or Bonnie know way more than I do so I don't come to share any special knowledge...
My utility pays me .04 for my unused electricity during peak hours. I buy it from them during non-peak hours at .12. They wait until the end of the year to actually credit or pay me for the electricity I produce. I'd say they are getting a pretty good deal.
Oh, that doesn't include my T&D...
My tech told me that they are doing it at the Denver location to fix what they are planning to fix. He said there is a slight chance they have to send it to Fremont, depending upon what they find when they open it.
That only works if you have slow moving inventory that you need to get rid of to make room for the new stuff. That was not Tesla's problem. The logistics and start up manufacturing cost spread over a small number of parts made continuing to offer the aeros a bad business decision.
Anyone Get This Email from the Service Center?
I am reaching out to schedule a proactive repair on your Model S.
Your vehicle is identified as qualifying for a power switch and supply update (under warranty). This is being done in an effort to ensure that your vehicle is consistently being...
The cup holders are in the wrong place and there aren't enough of them. People are very attached to their cupholders.
Edit: and there wasn't any other news coming out as we waited for our cars. We were bored.
and I would add that the posters airing their grievances have gotten a reasonable response. There is a lot of healthy debate. Only a little bit of name calling and some people tired of it all. I'd say it's pretty reasonable and meets my expectations.
To those upset, ask yourself, "if active safety features were so important to me, why did I order the car before they became available?" The answer is that you made a choice. You decided that driving the car now was more important than driving it later but with active safety features. I say...
Back in the old days (all of a little over 2 years ago), we could tell that the production sequence had nothing to do with order sequence. Tesla batched production to maximize efficiency. We could also tell by tracking deliveries against order sequences and configurations, that cars went into...
Personally, I have no use for autopilot because I love to drive the car. Isn't that the point of buying such a fun car? Anyway, Telsa is just fine with the way they are doing things. It's all marketing. Look how much press they got out of this announcement. They wouldn't have gotten that...
How long before we see true autonomous? The D has autopilot but it looks like it is only intended for highway use to keep you in a lane as opposed to being able to navigate city streets. On the other hand, you can summons the car to you if you are on private property. Does the D have all the...
