    Replacing instrument cluster

Super easy to do! I just did it. Dont waste your time trying to clean the goop. Buy a 2018+ IC and swap the boards.

    Drive Unit Replacement

My swap was due to a full failure of the unit while I was on the highway.. it threw up all of the gears in red and lost all power . I restarted and limped it home. Got the car back on Tuesday and it is quiet though a little less efficient on the display. I love my RWD car so I’ll cross my...

    Headlights swapped!!

Still HID. (Which I prefer as I like the look of the projector) the DRLs have been frosted for a more solid look.

    Headlights swapped!!

Oh so my total cost after core return will be 1150.

    Headlights swapped!!

This is completely plug and play. I got a pair of headlights from vision auto labs and am sending back my cores now. Evan at vision offers a ton of options like retrofitting Lexus Rx350 projectors for greater output and light quality, but I opted to just get a pair that was blacked out with the...

    Rebuild 2014 Gen 1 seats?

Doesn’t seem like something anyone has done, so I guess I’ll just start talking to shops. I think the biggest issue I might run into adding side bolstering is if there is an in seat airbag. My goal really is to get a more form fitting driver and passenger seat without too much down time.

    Rebuild 2014 Gen 1 seats?

I want to improve the comfort of my mid 2014 seats. Since it is so hard to find used next gen seats, has anyone had an upholstery shop just add more side and bottom bolstering? I haven’t gone to a shop as of yet but I imagine this can be done relatively easily.

    21" or 19"

I love my 21s..but I have a set of stock 19s as well.If you are thinking about the 21s you will eventually tempt yourself into buying them later so just get them with your order at a discount over buying them at a silly rate later.

    Pot Head?

This is hilarious. I think musk improperly smoking a joint on the former host of fear factor’s podcast is the least of tesla’s worries. I’m glad elon was able to unwind a bit as I think he needs a couple of weeks off. We should probably delete this thread as it is troll bait.

    Battery contact flutters?!?

If my 2016 Lexus GS350 has an odd squeak Lexus drops everything to make sure it is right. I honestly wish Toyota was focused on ev’s instead of this hydrogen excursion. I love tesla as a brand and the mission that they are on, but with the cost of these cars passing the price of a house in some...

    Battery contact flutters?!?

It just can’t be considered a normal sound when it appears out of the blue. I would take it to another SC. If the car is not operating as it did when it was when it left the factory it has a fault..period.

    Battery contact flutters?!?

Ok so this seems like it is a known thing then. Thanks for all the feedback. They said they would get me the contacts in a couple of days.

    Battery contact flutters?!?

I have a late 14 S60. How involved was the repair?

    Battery contact flutters?!?

Over the past week my 2014 model S developed an odd noise under heavy acceleration that sounds like a balloon losing its air. I took it to my local SC and they said it was battery contact flutters and that the sound was “normal” unless a warning sign is prompts me otherwise. After a bit of...

    Model S Springs Installed!

My 2014 Model S with standard suspension needed a drop so I decided to go with the TSportline set as unplugged supposedly had issues with their model S springs. Installed yesterday so it is still settling but I can definitely see the difference. I would highly recommend TSportline if you have...

    Tire/Rim swap and TPMS

I have a 2014 S 60 that came with the standard 19s and just had Tesla SC swap brand new 21s. They told me that reprogramming the new TPMS would be labour intensive so they simple swapped out the sensor from the old wheels. It sucks to not have a visualisation of the pressure of each tyre but I’m...
