Trying to identify what the two antenna cables on wing mirror are for?

Yes, they were chrome delete. I hate chrome, and I had the trim vinyl wrapped when I bought the car. The vinyl had started to come off, so I put on a more permanent solution. There is still more to do. I replaced the long curved trim pieces above the windows, and the straight trim pieces at...

Trying to identify what the two antenna cables on wing mirror are for?

The mirrors were $400 each. Yes, this was for chrome delete. I actually had chrome delete done with vinyl back when I bought my car in 2018. It cost about $800, and was starting to peel. I didn't want to deal with the vinyl anymore, and I figured I'd invest that money into a more permanent...

Trying to identify what the two antenna cables on wing mirror are for?

Probably way, way too late to help you. But I'm dealing with this right now. I bought both of the mirrors at the Teslas Service Center yesterday, and there was only the one pigtail. When I started to install the driver side (LH in the US) I had the two extra pigtails on my old mirror. I...

Zoom? [I didnt get zoom in the holiday update]

Actually it doesn't confirm what you originally said. The notes say that you tap the link to automatically start or join your meeting. It just says that Participant video and screen sharing are only visible while parked. Not that you have to park to start the meeting. It also says that the...

Nope. You get audio while driving. You only have to park for video.

Zoom? [I didnt get zoom in the holiday update]

I'm not on the road all the time, but I do take Zoom meetings in my car sometimes. It's more than a talking point to me, because it's difficult and unsafe to fumble with the phone app to start a meeting while I'm driving. Unfortunately I have a 2018, so no joy for me.

    Supercharger - Casper (Evansville) WY

Did that trip last June. Topped it off in Wheatland. We might have made it to Sheridan, but it would have been really close. We stopped in Buffalo, and the really nice folks at the Quality Inn on Bypass Rd have two Tesla HPWC that they let anyone use. We plugged in and walked along the creek...

There's a L2 in Buffalo at a hotel right off the freeway. Nice folks there let you use it for free. We stopped in there last year Going between Denver and Sheridan. Plugged in and walked over to downtown to grab a drink at the historic Occidental Hotel. But Casper is going to make it nice.

TSportline added their logo to all their wheels - voice your disappointment!

For those of you want the replica turbine look of the TSportlines but don't want the stupid logo there is a great choice. The Art Replica 171. They look just exactly like the TSTs, and have the same specs, down to the weight. I bought mine from canadawheels.ca, and even with shipping to the US...

Vendor Tesla Model 3 Flow Forged Wheels - Model TSS Available in 18", 19" & 20"

Comparing Tesla's changing of their brand and your decision to stamp those ugly logos on what you originally marketed as a replica wheel is a complete joke. But hey, you do whatever you want with your products. We're done. I've stopped your 5 times a week marketing emails from my inbox, and I...

Huh? WTF? Are you nuts? These companies use the sugar out of social media to promote their product and you think they're somehow immune to being accountable in the same forum? I know from personal experience that @Tsportline is not very responsive in a one-on-one basis when it comes to...

TSportline added their logo to all their wheels - voice your disappointment!

Very subtle difference indeed. I have met many fellow Model 3 owners who have asked me if I got my TST wheels from Tesla. I have been happy to tell them I bought them from TSportline. But I won't ever recommend them again, because of the stupid logo.

So, after doing some digging, reading and research I just bought a set of these. They come in gunmetal and black. Best part of it is the price was US$518 at the current exchange rate. Here's a link to a TMC discussion on them. Thoughts on ART Replica 171 wheels Wanted to shout a big THANK...

TSportline added their logo to all their wheels - voice your disappointment!

Yeah, I wouldn't buy that either. In fact, I have bypassed dozens of wheels for my 3 because of branding. One of the reasons I went with TSportline TST in the first place was because nobody could tell they weren't Tesla. I've had a bunch of people think they were Tesla, and I always told them...

Wheel Jog with Auto Lane Change

Disagree. This thread is a waste of electrons. The steering wheel has always had to sense your hand to stay in AP. Now it must sense your hand on the wheel at the time that it is going to change lanes. This is to make sure you are paying attention before it, you know, throws your car in...

Is There a Definitive Answer? 20" Sport Wheel Includes Rear Upper Fore Links / Control Arms

No it wouldn't. Both halves of the pipe would bend if they weren't holding each other. Obviously, both are apparently strong enough. But based on looking at them I would be willing to be that the AWD one has more strength. Perhaps the P3D one is designed to be lighter?
  34. rdlink

Is There a Definitive Answer? 20" Sport Wheel Includes Rear Upper Fore Links / Control Arms

Of course it's weaker, and of course it relies on welds. The strongest structure is a column. The AWD has a solid column, while the P3D has two half pipes that are spot welded.

Is There a Definitive Answer? 20" Sport Wheel Includes Rear Upper Fore Links / Control Arms

Okay, so based on the pictures you've provided the one on the AWD appears stronger to me than the one on the P3D+. The arm on the AWD appears to be a solid piece of bar stock, while the one on the P3D+ appears to be two pieces of half tube spot welded along a seam running the edge, thereby...

    State Alternate Fuel Tax

This won't happen in backwards states like Georgia anytime soon, but the only really fair way to tax vehicles if you're going to use taxes from their use to pay for roads is to tax based on miles driven per year and the weight of the vehicle. It's easy to do. Just require an odometer reading...
