Thanks for this thread. Husband spilled water coming home from the gym and we got the alert plus the occupancy sensor malfunction. Car is currently baking in the garage at 80 degrees with the seat heater on full blast.

Yes a few days ago I went to the NHTSA website to file a complaint and really this is not a safety issue. Although if a gas-powered car could not be filled with gas I guess maybe a safety issue since people would be stranded? Still it's a leap. It's not like a defective seatbelt or airbag.

Here's another way of looking at it. I spent $2000 on maintenance for a 5 year old car. That's $400 a year. Not bad. Because it was part of a tech service bulletin and a KNOWN issue, I still believe they should have covered it. My car is low mileage (32,000) so has not had as many charge cycles...

This is a major operation and a good location for a SC... I'm hearing from friends that the other Napa one is more and more busy and is even full sometimes on weekends which never used to be the case.

Great news, but if you scroll up, the permit was issued and expired once... let's hope this time they actually build the darn thing haha... From the satellite photo it's a much better location than 530 Canal... right by the freeway, easy in and out, and a nice pool to use haha.... I think...

Looks like a rough day at this supercharger.... it's been showing a >25 minute wait for a while with lots of pedestals out of order. Maybe they are upgrading the old V2 to V3?

OK here's a little secret for my TMC friends... Yountville's Chargepoint stations are borderline free. I think a complete charge costs about 65 cents. There are two stations at the community center and two stations at town hall. Busy on weekends, empty on weekdays.

Unlike some of the other choices I have seen around here (I'm looking at YOU, Whole Foods San Rafael) this is a great location, serving the Ross valley and filling an important gap. Easy in and out, large parking lot, lots of amenities, perfect.

I stopped by today, covered in tarps... delivery truck blocking some of the pedestals.

I was there today and the charging stations are in and covered with Tesla covers.... forgot to take a photo but will grab one next time.

I drove by today and they have fenced off the new location (north side of the western lot) and they were digging there. The SC's are definitely going there. The old location is untouched.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, this is on the north side of the western lot. I was told by an associate they are installing it there but will keep an eye on it.

ROFL.... yes it's the San Rafael version of the Tesla Kettleman lounge. You don't even need a PIN to use! (joking aside, it is the employee break table, which normally sits where the digger is)

This site is officially under construction as of this morning! My timing was perfect to see them beginning to set up (and check their phones haha). The store employee told me "Tesla chargers are going in there." The location is different than the original plan -- it's in the back of the parking...

Let's hope they are finding a better location. Visited this week - no construction or pavement markings.

This is great news! Huge GOLD STAR ⭐(highly coveted in some circles) to the first person who posts a YouTube video (or other provider) of entering the garage and navigating to the superchargers. Extra points if the passenger does this so you don't hit something making the video. 🤣

This is great news for those of us who drive up and down 101.... there's a pretty big gap in service between San Jose and Santa Barbara last I checked... always worried an emergency service issue would result in a very very long tow which is why I have AAA+.

Great news for those of us driving through as well... I have long been concerned about the lack of Tesla service on that long stretch between Monterey and Santa Barbara. It's one of the reasons I upgraded my AAA towing to the maximum.
