    Rear view camera is blurry

Yeah, it's a big no-no to rub a lens without blowing off the debris first. The most common thing is sand and that will scratch even glass, much less plastic. For camera lenses, people typically use a rocket blower to blow off all debris first before cleaning with lens solution and a lens cloth.

Note for L4, the car doesn't have to handle inclement weather at all. Most of the issues currently with V12 seems unrelated to perception if you go to the threads, it's stuff like setting the appropriate speed for the road, getting into the correct lane at the correct time for the route...

glass roofs have to go bye bye.

Considering the windshield seems to be the most damaged and likely where the glass bits is coming in, and rear window is broken, I doubt that small glass part in the center matters. The windshield and rear window is going to need to be glass unless you make one of those cars that have no rear...

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

Any of you looked at Thanksgiving and other holiday traffic here? I know Tesla have had issues with that in the past, which is why they "overbuilt" some sites for example in the SF to LA route.

To clarify, I mean I either don't see them or they don't turn into driveways. The trailers I have seen, the people just park outside next to the sidewalk as the neighborhood I have seen them has plenty of free parking. I'm just pointing out that the overall instance of trailers at all may be...

Well, I've never seen it before. I don't think anecdotes can determine edge cases or not. For example if someone has a neighbor in their neighborhood that has a trailer that is being used regularly, they will see it many times. But someone living in a neighborhood without may never see one. I...

For L3 you need to be ready to take over within several seconds. So no way the driver can take a nap. Doesn't matter what you personally claim you can do, it's based on the average person. Most average people can be interrupted from a book or movie and regain awareness in several seconds, but...

Make your robotaxi predictions for the 8/8 reveal

I don't think a central fleet approach will make a profit anytime soon (for same reasons taxies struggle against Uber). Instead the model that might work is each car owner manages their own vehicle and Tesla takes a cut out of any revenue made and/or the owner uses it for personal use. Of...

FYI, up thread it was posted that the current theory is Tesla is using modular E2E, meaning there are still separate perception, prediction, planning NNs. What makes it E2E is that they are NN and the output at the end is fed back to the prior NNs (instead of them being 100% independent). As...

glass roofs have to go bye bye.

If you have been following Model 3, originally there was going to be a metal roof option. HW3.0 upgrade for basic AP owners now free?

Not if you read the thread. Some people got it free because the SC seemed to have put in the wrong code, but then eventually they caught on and then it was ended. There is no official policy that it is free for people without paid FSD, just that you have to gamble on the SC entering the free...

Of course it's, not that simple. Just because you declare a system as L2 doesn't mean it matches SAE L2. You still need to evaluate how the system operates. Again, Uber tried declaring their system as L2, but CA DMV didn't buy it, simply because it didn't operate as one. Uber is stubbornly...
