So the HVJB is probably your issue then?

Replacing Onboard Charger Gen3 2017 MS75D...My Experience (With Photos)

Yup. Makes sense. Those came in the 90s and 100s battery sizes. What doesn't make sense is why Tesla won't put a 72amp charger in my car. At least when one of the banks craps out, I can still charge at 40-48amps in my garage.

HELP! Model S Won’t Charge at Supercharger

Crap dude. I'm sorry. I'm not super familiar with the dual charger setup. I've seen pics. There should be a HV bypass relay somewhere in the system. Could be in the center silver box. Mine is physically in my single charger, under an orange cover. It just sounds like that's not switching...

    Supercharger — Montrose, CO

Totally off topic, but why do people usually drive between Gunnison and CB? Other than campers/hikers, what's the main user of US50. Just curious.

Replacing Onboard Charger Gen3 2017 MS75D...My Experience (With Photos)

Most US Teslas have 2 modules inside. 24amps each to make 48amps. It can send up to 240V/24amps down each board. Here are combos I've charged on: 120/15A (1 hot) 240/24A (2 hots, with neutral)...this is my daily charging 240/48A (2 hots, no neutral) 240/48A (2 hots, with neutral) 208/48A (1...

HELP! Model S Won’t Charge at Supercharger

As long are they're the same part #'s I don't see why that wouldn't work. Swapping chargers is a messy job though. That's 4 hoses of coolant that you have to plug.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Pay for the MCU2 upgrade and then small claims court for the $2k that you paid. It's not too difficult. Others here, have done it. I plan on doing it this summer when I have more time.

MCU1 -> MCU2, FSD Computer with updated cameras on Legacy X. “Update BETA in route!”

Not sure how it works in Canada, but you can probably do a small claims lawsuit for the price you paid for FSD. That's likely an easy win. If you want more than that, do Canadians have to do arbitration as well? Unless you opted out. IMO, those are your ONLY two options.

Replacing Onboard Charger Gen3 2017 MS75D...My Experience (With Photos)

400v/3phase? I install electrical all over the world with the military and I much prefer the higher voltage systems. Mostly because they use half the amount of copper which means half the amount of weight for me to lug around. I wonder why the US charger couldn't accept one leg of EU power and...

Hmmm...Ioniq5 just had its best March sales ever (no tax rebates)...Tesla just had it's first decrease in recent memory (still eligible for tax rebates) Personally this is my first and last Tesla. Absolutely love this car, but hate most of the "refresh" stuff. I'm driving this 2017 (MCU1)...

That's the plan. I'll likely do this in late April or early May. Definitely not signing any NDAs. I want to share with my friends here!

MCU1 -> MCU2, FSD Computer with updated cameras on Legacy X. “Update BETA in route!”

I get FSD visualizations, but they're not nearly as clean as what MCU2 gets. Instead of orange traffic cones I get white sticks.

MCU1 -> MCU2, FSD Computer with updated cameras on Legacy X. “Update BETA in route!”

MCU1 version absolutely determines whether you get FSD or not. Plenty of people who have FSD HW with MCU1 and no FSD. I got "lucky" and got V10 before they stopped MCU1 FSD rollout. Others MCU1 folks got 3 strikes in 2 years and still can't get out of FSD jail. Upgrade to MCU2...magically...

How to sue Tesla over historical claims

Yup. They're making small claims wins even easier with all this verbiage and "wide-releases". I'll probably pull the trigger on the MCU2 upgrade and then do small claims shortly after, showing FSD v12 immediately available.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

By your signature line, you might be thinking of HW3 not MCU2. AFAIK, all M3s had MCU2 from the beginning. Early M3 had AP HW 2.5 which was upgradable to HW3. The only people I know who got MCU2 for free were the ones who did it in arbitration or small claims.

I'm the one who wrote the DIY. Sorry...not in LA. Just curious though, did you get a quote from them? I'm wondering if they changed their pricing considering this is happening more than it should be. Considering it's such a critical part of the car. I have a friend who got Tesla to cover it...

    2022.8.10.17 2017 MCU1 AP2 HW3

Guessing 2022.08.10.20 has the Recall fix in it. But I don't want to possibly lose FSDb by upgrading. On the second part, the letter gives the customer the judgement on how long they think Tesla should take to fix it. "If you believe that Tesla has failed or is unable to remedy this defect...

    2022.8.10.17 2017 MCU1 AP2 HW3

Got notified for 2022.8.10.20. That's still a bit far off from the "2023.44.30 or later" that Tesla's Recall letter says I should be running. Lol. My worry is, I saw someone else said that 2022.8.10.20 didn't have FSDb, meaning if I upgrade, I might lose my super duper awesome V10 FSDb? /s

So I just got a notification for the 2022.8.10.20 update. (Running 10.15 with FSDb v10 right now) I'm wondering if I update to that, do I lose FSDb, since @m5james doesn't have it on that same version. That's kind of messed up if they take it away for a recall. I'm assuming this car will...

Yea I wasn't disagreeing with you. A lot of car companies have a level 2 system that can work as level 3, if they removed the nags and set usage limits. My Ioniq5 for example, does better auto steer (HDA2) and highway driving than my Tesla does. But they're also not advertising Full Self...

Poll: When will FSD V12 be in wide release?

Without getting too deep into the technical definitions of the SAE Levels (there's plenty of other threads to argue that mess), L3 is going to require Tesla assume some responsibility. I don't think they're willing to put the money where their mouth is, at least not for another several years.

Poll: When will FSD V12 be in wide release?

I agree. Keep in mind, If it ever goes level 4, it's going to be way more than $12k. Better to maybe buy the dip right now and if it goes level 4, stock sky rockets and then you can afford the $15k+ FSD.
