Who is waiting on the 2024 changes to order a Plaid?

And that is so annoying. Little bit of fog, sun low in the sky in any direction and “camera is blocked or blinded.” My son’s Camry still has adaptive cruise control in those conditions, but I’m driving manually. Turn on the damn radar (if it’s even there).

Confused with suspension settings (Plaid 2023)

I feel like I’m in a toy car. All the settings seem too stiff. I miss my 2017 model S air suspension and especially my seat. The new ones are as stiff as the suspension.

    Tesla's Free Unlimited Supercharging cost

Yes I did. Didn’t realize it until I checked the specs in the app to see if the pay-as-you-go had been changed to free supercharging. They told me up to 72 hour, but nothing yet.

Model S order changed from MSM to Stealth Grey

I was worried about it being too dark. Got to the SC early and found mine by the VIN. Concerns immediately vanished. It’s badass.

    Tesla's Free Unlimited Supercharging cost

When I was finally able to reach someone at Tesla to request the transfer paperwork be sent to me (thank goodness I read the fine print) ahead of delivery day, I received an updated “final” price sheet that was $270.00 more. Turned out to be subtraction of my referral credit plus tax so the...

Model S owners give me your insights

There are plenty of 2015 and earlier cars that supercharge very slowly compared to any 100 KWH packs. I’ve treated my 100 kwh 2017 S with care and after 104,000 miles I see up to 175 KW which is more than its stated max. I would check out the forums before buying. Personally I would try for a...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

If you don’t mind me asking, mine is due in a couple weeks and I don’t want a black car. I like my existing MSM. Is it gray or is it black? Every photo or rendering looks black. Thank you!

In 2017 FSD was coming later this year..

New FSD Beta Button for 2021 Refreshed Plaid and Long Range

This seems like an imperfect way of determining safe driving. If someone pulls out in front of you and you’re paying attention and don’t hit them it dings your score. It’s interesting that my score for unsafe following distance is -22%, but my overall average is 97% so apparently it really...

    No access to account

Anyone having trouble accessing your account. I can’t log into the app or into my online account. The error message says email address is not registered. I’ve been driving a Tesla for almost 4 years. Tried restarting my phone to no avail. Of course it’s impossible to give them a call.

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

I I agree. I’ve been driving nothing but Tesla since 2016. Model S and wife has a 3. Snow builds up on front bumper: AP not available. Heavy rain: AP not available. Condensation in side camera: AP not available. Glare from sun low in sky: AP not available. Unfortunately you also lose all of...

Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

You’re right. Sun comes up: camera is disabled/ blinded. Hard rain: auto pilot and safety features not available. No way FSD will happen with current hardware.

    Hack-charging on a generator

Yes it will. My 20 KW charges it just fine.

    Cars keep crashing into me...

I’m just wondering why it thinks every van and SUV is a Dodge Caravan. . It is cool though, helps with the blind spot.

V9 Dashcam, have you made it work?

So mine stopped working a few days ago—the icon on the touchscreen disappeared. I just plugged the thumb drive into the computer, and the last files recorded are videos of the shed at the end of my driveway in the middle of the night when no one is driving, or near the car, at all. We were fast...

Steering Wheel Vibration at High Speed

Hmm the foam was installed by the service center and didn’t come out of a can. Be careful

Steering Wheel Vibration at High Speed

I also had the vibration which was solved completely with the foam stiffener behind the front fascia. It started at around 50 mph or so. Cold weather made it worse as did speed. One day at 70 into a strong headwind and a 5F temperature I thought the car was going to vibrate to pieces. I don’t...

Front 2 sensors don't engage all the time when driving

I’ve noticed that too and it occurred to me perhaps it’s alerting you to things in your blind spot and what you can see it doesn’t need to let you know about, but that’s a wild ass thought that popped into my mind, not any particular knowledge. Other times the front ones do alert. Speed and...

    Unusual tire wear

Add one more severe inner tire wear especially on rears. Found during first 12,500 mile service. I’m probably going to have to buy 4 tires even though there is still 8/32 left except for the very inner shoulder as others have posted.

    Supercharger - Erwin, NY

I charged there today, 7/25/17. Not every stall has the plastic off, but most do. I charged at stall 1B @82KW

High frequency steering wheel vibration (not lane departure)

I had a vibration problem that turned out to be a problem with the front fascia. Tesla replaced a wheel and two tires, but it was no better. Eventually, from this forum, I discovered several other people with the same problem. Once I passed it on to the SC they were able to fix the problem. It...

Ground fault protection a new complication for EV charging?

The high powered wall connector has built in GFCI protection. It is not required to have a GFCI breaker.

    Vibration In Steering Wheel

I picked up my S75D 12/16/17 and noticed a vibration as soon as I hit highway speeds. Wind, speed and cold temperatures seem to make it worse. Long aggravating story short, the problem is fixed and as others have mentioned this is a vibration in the front fascia. Temporary fix is easily...
