Is there anyway to obtain supercharger status other than the in car navigation system? For example, I'm taking a break from driving and want to browse various superchargers with my iPhone while I'm in a coffee house or restaurant?

Good weather: walk, get coffee or something to eat, bathroom, shopping, etc., talk to others who using the SC Bad weather: phone calls, emails, read. Unfortunately it is very difficult for me to sleep in a car :(

In the list of 20 richest counties you could also include the 3 listed New Jersey counties as midatlantic. IMHO. I grew up in Somerset County where this is a tremendous amount of wealth-- both old and new money. I agree. Tesla's investment in the middle Atlantic region is a wise decision.

I have noticed the same in my MX 75D. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the system uploading a significantly increased amount of information and video to Tesla. It would be interesting to know if those who have opted out of sharing data with Tesla experience the same issues?

I periodically look at Weis' website looking for any SpC information. Not even the listing for their Harrisburg store mentions the chargers Stores | Weis Markets. I've been tempted to call their corporate offices. Hmmmmm.....

You are probably right. Looking back over my pics I see Waterloo, NY doesn't have an enclosure. I think Waterloo is the closest SC to Rochester.

Most of the SCs I've been to have the locked fence enclosure. The only exception I've noticed is Harrisburg, PA

8.1 Immediately after returning from Canada my Model X 75D AP 2 updated to version 17.17.4. So it would have been the version before that. Unfortunately I do not remember what the version number was.

I just completed a round trip from York, PA to Canada. I stayed for several days in St. Catherines, ON and traveled as far as Mississauga-- almost all the way to Toronto. I didn't experience any problems. Though I did notice a few minor oddities. Notice the speed limit sign says "161"...

Actually, the picture is from the Harrisburg Supercharger which is powered by Weis! We live in York and have a Weis less than 5 minutes from our home.... It would be great if our Weis got an SC! Sure beats gas points.

Tesla updated it's supercharger map today (or very recently). The new map shows "Coming Soon" locations: Bellefonte, PA Falls Creek, PA West Middlesex, PA All three are welcome news for the I-80 corridor. For N/S travelers they also identify Erwin, NY as Coming Soon. Yeah!

I saw the Google Car going in the opposite direction. I made a mental note of where I was, and then periodically looked on Google Street View until they updated the picture.

I used the Edison, NJ SC last Saturday and it was full and someone waiting. I had to wait about 15-20 minutes--- thankfully the guy before me let me go ahead him as I was from out of state. He said he was local and not in a hurry.

I live in York, PA. I've used both SCs. Both are decent choices. Your available range may well determine which one you need to use. If range isn't an issue I would use Harrisburg for the reasons already stated by others. Not too far from Gettysburg is a Tesla destination charger in New Oxford...

route 80 in western PA is much needed. There was a future SC on 80 in western PA on the 2016 map that was obviously never built. A little north in New York, it looks like a new one will be west of Binghamton. Maybe Horseheads or Painted Post. Either would be a very welcome addition.
