What is he referring to about the Long Range Model 3 having slower charging batteries? Can someone who understands battery chemistry explain the difference between the batteries in the RWD, LR and M3P?

Yeah, my wife says she has to look every time she uses the turn signals. The turn signals work fine for me, but I has put little clear sticky dots on the horn, wipers and light-flash "buttons" so I can find them without looking.

Yep, it's those "goofball" wheels that are holding me back from pulling the trigger on the M3P. They have zero practicality and would be expensive to swap out.

Wait, don't physical buttons give more feedback than haptic buttons? When I test-drove the M3, I found the physical buttons to be much better than the haptic ones on my MX.

I'm going to advocate for the original price so I can have my red car! :)

Ok, here is my wish... lower the price of M3P to $52,990 with standard 19" rims/tires, then offer 20" rims/tires for $1,000 more. That way I can get my Red M3P with 19" wheels and get the $7,500 tax credit and everyone will be happy! Are you listening, Tesla?? :)

I contacted Tesla today and they said they are not doing demo drives for M3P yet. They said they have some to look at in Walnut Creek and San Jose.

Dude, I hesitated two days and boom, red is out. It's the only color I like, so no M3 performance for me. :(

We've taken to SC twice, but whatever they are doing, it doesn't resolve the squeak/rattle/rubbing issue. Gummi pfledge helps sometimes and sometimes not. It was such a quiet car when it was new, but now it's annoyingly noisy. :(

Interestingly, it wasn't an issue on the old MX's, but the refresh models commonly have these FWD squeaks and rattles. I tried silicon spray to no avail so the next thing I am going to try is Gummi Pfledge on the seals and felt tape as directed in this thread. Stay tuned!

You are smarter than me... I foolishly gave both of my fob rings to Tesla with my 2016 MX trade-in not knowing they didn't provide them anymore. :confused: On the bright side, I don't really need a fob anymore with the phone app.

For those that have taken delivery of your Model X, did your fobs come with the little loop thingy that lets you attach it to a key ring? Ours didn't come with one.

Sounds risky, I would find a way to take a quick flight mid-trip to pick up your car... lest it is another year before you get it. My guess is they will give your car to someone else if you put it on hold.

I used it for a while, but all it does is prompt you to press on the brake rather than swipe the screen... it doesn't really save a step and made the whole process more cumbersome for me. I turned it off.

Ha, ha, mine did too! I was looking in the wrong place, I didn't know they moved it to the glovebox. In my 2018 Model 3, it's in the console.

Hmm, mine is fresh out of the Fremont factory (May build date) and I don't think it has the swivel. I only had a few minutes with it before I dropped off to get PPF, so I may have missed it, but the button where it should be (as shown in the Twitter video) said, "inactive".

Interesting, I also picked up yesterday and mine has no swivel screen. Is yours a Plaid? My delivery advisor said they were only going into Plaid editions? Also, wondering what your VIN is so we can determine when the swivel screens went into production.

If it's any consolation, we drove our 2016 Model X 74,000 miles without a single rock chip in the windshield. And we drove in winter conditions to Tahoe and on gravel roads many times.

I didn't know you could PPF the front windshield? The detailer I use always wants to tint my front windshield, but besides being illegal in CA, I want the best possible night vision upfront.

Model X was delivered today after 459 days. The fit and finish was great. No swivel screen :( No photos yet, it's at the detailer getting full PPF. I updated it in the spreadsheet. :)
