I’m sure the Amazon hubbell will be fine. I was thinking of the cost of a 50 amp gcfi breaker and confused the issue. I bought the same hubbell with great results earlier this year. You probably have to buy a little bigger faceplate for it as it’s bigger in diameter than others.

sorry for my earlier post - the Hubbell on amazon is fine. 8 awg is ok for 32 amps. We really like the Hubbell and I think you would be wise to upgrade your outlet to one.

I see you only charge at 32 amps so the 8 awg gauge is fine, but the Hubble you see on Amazon is not the one to use for 240 volts.

I use an infrared temp gun from time to time. While charging at 40 amps with a Lectron V-Box plugged into a Hubble from 50 amp GCFI breaker, the connect points rise about 7 deg F.

I tend to hold a car for many years so the short term depreciation - even long term - doesn’t enter into my buy decisions.

I ordered a day earlier than you. Edd is May 5 to12 so maybe we are on the same train/truck?

Ordered a Model S long range on April 16. Today the VIN number showed up and got an estimated delivery of May 5-12. Ultra Red, cream interior, normal steering wheel and tires. So from ordering to delivery looks like 3 to 4 weeks.
