Not only I count Telsa since I got mine, but I also count each Y, X and 3 on the roads and sometimes all the cars to calculate the percentage.....My boy also couldn't stop counting Teslas while on the road.....LOL

Schedule a service appointment and have them fix it for you. They should have enough experience/information on their side now.

Can you call them directly? Do that if you can before driving to there. I had similar issue before and called them then it works.

Not sure this is true. The big question here is why Tesla does it this way. The LR battery is bigger, heavier and more expensive. There is no real reason to do it this way in theory, unless they are short on batteries or only makes one type of battery, but we all know this is not the case.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work. Based on people having same issue and scheduled by service, Tesla thinks it's the hardware issue(which I am not convinced) and will replace the computer of the car. So be patient and wait for them to schedule the service for you. Good luck!

So far I don't see anything wrong with software reinstalling. It actually installed the latest version(which was stuck for a few days) for me and keeps all previous personal settings.

I successfully 'solved' this issue(with the help from other post) by entering service mode and reinstalling the software. At least now it seems back to normal. No more hanging up, not even an upgrade. Car/software works fine. You can try that to see.

I have exactly the same problem! Just posted a new thread to ask for help! Now I am not alone. Maybe I will just contact service center and turn off Wi-Fi. This update is unnecessary for me but it's updating automatically and now it stucks there and drain the battery.
