    Is this safe to drive

Front wheel well lets just say nothing the picture is worth a thousand words, rear needs to be check for warp-age and repaired if possible, it is NOT safe to use as is. Underbelly needs to be replaced for aero drag and also as to not get any debris in, if you are in a area or drive in snowy...

For less than 10$ I would not take the chance!

Is there an alternative to Modern Spare?

To center the wheel to the hub you could use a centering ring 64.1mm to 67.1mm, they do exist and would be safer to have if ever you need to use the spare wheel/tire.

    Strange Phone Key behaviour

I did understand all the steps you have taken or your what your "bother in-law" did, you now all the Q's I had was become third hand information is often miss understood or has wildly changed from the first to the third person. SO YES I did accept what all had been done, but my point was what...

    Strange Phone Key behaviour

So it seems it is the gremlins that solved the issue! If it ever happens again try to get logged/detailed steps taken. For me when something like this would happen the solution was turn off/on Bluetooth or a phone reboot, but does not seem to be that in this situation.

Wiper Blade Replacement Tesla Model Y

I have seen many posts from you regarding keeping the OEM wipers and not needing to change them. Where do you live? I live in Quebec and after one winter I need to change my wipers no matter what brand they are, we have so much road grime that the rubber will wear down and the blades will streak...

Is there an alternative to Modern Spare?

You could go too a junk yard and get a complete collapsible spare tire and tool/jack kit from a Maserati Levante, the Levante weighed 4,650–4,861 lb (taken from Wikipedia) this is more than enough for our MY at 4,154–4,404 lb (also from Wikipedia)

Why didn't Tesla offer a non-stagger wheel option for the MYP?

The actual mileage is more a question of treadwear rating and to extend the wear evenly you rotate frequently to maximize your tires. I don't know what the treadwear rating on the different tires is but if you have a 21" tire with say 500 and a 19" tire with 250 the 21" will last twice as long...

Trying to understand my options for a second set of rims for a '23 MYP

Buy a set of four Gemini's at the Tesla service center with BLE sensors and have you local tire shop install winter tires on them, I personally like Nokian winter tires.

Why didn't Tesla offer a non-stagger wheel option for the MYP?

Buy two OEM front wheels and tires from Tesla and install them on the back, keep the new rear wheel/tires for when you sell the car. Problem solved.

    Towing Experience with Model Y

Most tow packages are used as bike carriers and not for actual towing, so millage is less affected and at the safe time charging at SC is not affected. You could look for drive true SC, they do exist but are rare, all else you could stop at a regular EV charging station with a CCS adapter...

Will there be a Model Y Long Range RWD?

It seems that Tesla has dropped the SR RWD and only has the LR RWD available for order on their web site for the US market. Range is set at 320mi.

Help regarding Model Y RWD vs AWD

Yes that is a ABS traction control thing, NOT a AWD vs RWD question. Where I live I use studded tires since I have a very steep hill that is only sanded and no slat is used so it is often icey, I had AWD cars with very good snow/ICE tires and FWD and RWD cars with studded tires and any day the...

I set my steering to comfort and not sport and solved this issue for me.

Keeps Staying the Highway Passing Lane

I would open a service request and include the state law that stipulates that it is illegal to stay in the left lane after passing, by doing this it becomes a legal issue and Tesla will need to address the issue. BTW. I am in Canada and don't use FSD so it is a none issue for me.

Model Y HW4 with OEM Tow Hitch Installed

If you have a long term usage result of the Tekonsha P3 that would be nice. It is not enough to say the a regular car device that is specified for 14.7-15 is actually usable on the Tesla 16V system, often devices will fail after a long term usage. We could always uses BBD bucket brigade...

Model Y HW4 with OEM Tow Hitch Installed

Thank's for the followup, no you are not the only person actually using the tow hitch for towing, I have a trailer for my snowmobile and odd things I need to trailer around. If you ever find a brake controller do let us know.

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

I have a 2023 RWD that I bought at the beginning of December it had a free 3 months FSD, I tried it several times and hated it, I turned it off after several days of owning the car. I received the 1 month free trial this April and tried it again and again hated it and turned if off, I always...

Rusty (yellowish) liquid coming from center of the both front wheels

With that many weights, I would have a reputable tire shop look at the mag while it is spinning, I suspect that it is bent! At the same time take a look at what is happening behind the mag as to try to identify the origin of the rusty water.

Help regarding Model Y RWD vs AWD

You all know that at any point all this is obsolete that is why if you go to a Tesla center they can not give you a definitive answer, you know what you get when you receive your car, if you don't like what you get you leave it there.

What do ya'll do with washer fluid when traveling to a sub freezing area for a trip?

At that temperature the reservoir will probably not crack but the summer fluid will freeze and you will not be able to use it, if you encounter snow and need to wash off the road spray you might wind up with a smeared windshield and you don't what that, it would be safer to empty the summer...

New MY RWD owner from Quebec

Hi I bought a MY RWD in December, I have no regrets yet, still getting used to the different way of doing things, not just Tesla specific but also tech wise as my last car was a 2012 and a lot has changed since.
