It has to do with the 80% charge recommendation. Charge curve on the RWD was showing that at 91% of the software locked capacity it was actually at 80% of the battery. In addition, it was rumored that the low end was also locked. This meant you could use more of the capacity on a daily basis...

They have 24s in inventory that qualify for the rebate, so I'm unsure how this could be a lfp pack.

Interestingly, the range didn't get an update like the LR.

Not that I've seen other than knowing that ultra red and stealth grey are 24s. I'm still surprised that the rwd range didn't adjust and decrease. A 50 mile decrease from the LR is more palatable than 70 if it's accurate.

The 23s state that they don't qualify for a rebate and these don't have that disclaimer. They also say "in production" and coming soon. Plus, ultra red is a 24 color.

They are currently. Just found a discounted inventory ultra red and a black rwd that qualify for the rebate. I've probably missed it somewhere, but what are the thoughts on the 24 battery?

I just picked up my Y rwd yesterday. I was told via chat that it could be charged to 100% but wasn't lfp. The screen shows charge limited to 80%. I'd actually be ok with a software limited battery that increased the usable capacity to offset battery degradation.
