Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

yep my obstacle aware acceleration is disabled as well yet. i feel like there is a slight delay leaving from LC and more instant just flooring it.

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

when you guys are racing no prep/ flashlight starts/pro tree ( when you can't anticipate the green) do you use LC or just floor it. i feel like i have a slight start delay when using LC ( cheetah mode)

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

what tire psi do you run for no prep? yeah for sure some radials need more heat than others to really work well.

what 20" tire combos are you guys using on MS Plaids? i was considering square setup but second guessing my self not going with a 295 or 305 rear and i think 295 front will poke out

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

on the street as well? i am looking for a more consistent street tire for my car. i was going to try a nitto R2 on this, i have used it on my 991 Turbo S and it worked pretty good. i dont think mickey makes a 19" radial that is the right height for the plaid.

Tesla offered to replace my yoke with round wheel

if you like the yoke stay with it. i had mine swapped to a round wheel, free after yoke peeled at 12k miles. round looks way less cool, but its much better for driving around.

    Lowering Links + Cheetah Mode

i changed both to -6 today and also put the camber arms in (not that that makes a difference for this) i believe the launch still works fine , just doesn't display the message

    Lowering Links + Cheetah Mode

Anyone have issue with car not displaying launch ready message after lowering the car and eventually timing out and saying "both pedals" pressed? front -7 and rear -8 on 19"s. I never had this issue stock height, so i know the procedure. brake all the way down and stab the gas pedal quick. Will...

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

what kind of 0-60s are you seeing on the street in 40-45 degree weather and warm weather with PS4s? i actually want to get 20s for my car instead of the 19s.

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

it's finally starting to get warmer up here, so i'm sure that will help too

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

it's possible. the links and arms are coming today, so i will get it going by the weekend. i have tried launching on a different road and I got it to not have that 45mph traction/ power cut. but i need to conquer the tricky road.

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

I have the Pirellis, which people seem to say work well. They haven't been working that great for me, but it has been cold. I got some lowering links for it and camber arms, so that I can stand up the rear wheels a bit more ( bring down the negative camber)

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

yeah that was my original thought too, that its traction control as well. i can feel it pulling power there. that's why i made the post, to see what others were getting time wise in the cold. i will try a different road, but those Dragys are on the local "dragstrip" road. That's where I want to...

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

I got a 1.5 year old facelifted '22 model S Plaid a couple months ago and did some street Dragy testing on it. I have only been able to go higher 9s and no where close to low 9s. i believe it is hitting some traction control around 45-50mph. my original thought was that it was too cold and now...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

Porsche offers a manual in just about every other 911 trim, just not Turbo, TurboS or RS. they want those performing at peak every time. they want those low 0-60 magazine times, because those sell cars. for Porsche this straight line chase started in 2010 when they went PDK on Turbo and Turbo S...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

thats not exactly accurate, their Turbo and Turbo S offerings have been focused on straight line speed as much as handling. thats why they don't offer Turbo and Turbo S 911s with a manual. the new 992TTS does 9.9 stock which is fast for a flat six, fast for any ICE stock. they can not easily...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

it will be obtainable. porsche is giving those things away right now huge discounts. same as audi etron gt, huge discounts.... no one buying them.

i have seen a lucid, a couple times. one was actually standing dead on side of the road. i dont know which variants they were.

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

I did see that people tend to like these alot with Plaids. My F90 M5 came with those and it was considered losing the tire lottery vs the PS4S. I bought that car at the end of November and couldn't get it to work at all in the cold weather on the street even doing a small RWD burnout. I switched...
