2024 Model X Regen braking option

She’s going to have to learn to live with it. There is no option for low regen.

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

Jay, the statement “the tires can’t support the weight of the cars” is misinformation of the highest degree. You even acknowledge it yourself when you agree that there are others driving the same cars without having similar issues. Yes, Teslas ARE heavy, so the tires do have to be made with...

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

And this might help you, Jay: on the Tesla app on your phone, if you click on the “Controls” tab, on the upper right there’s an icon with “PSI” in it. Tap that, and it will show the tire pressure of all your tires. I try to keep mine at 45 lbs.

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

Wow. I’ve read all Jay’s posts, and it doesn’t make much sense that he’s had such bad luck with his tires. Question for Jay: are there many new construction sites near where you live? Nails falling off dumpster trucks near construction sites might be causing your issues. I’ve never come...

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

Been driving Model X since 2017. Never had a flat.

    Considering Model X purchase

I agree about the lack of a center armrest! There ARE aftermarket center armrests available.

    oil change

Question for you: how often do you change the fluid in your home A/C or heat pump? Never? Thought so. But, aren’t there motors and things in a home HVAC that need oil? Apparently not. Same with Teslas. No leak, no need to add fluid.

    Considering Model X purchase

My 5 seater is also plenty fast. It has an “Insane” mode, which I rarely use. Most of the time I’m on “sport”. Pretty much, the only time I’m on Insane is when I’m showing the car to someone new, and I want to take their breath away with the acceleration! lol!!!

    Considering Model X purchase

I just tested moving the sub trunk floor… and it does fit at a lower level. It’s not absolutely level with the bottom of the lower trunk, but it’s close.

    Considering Model X purchase

Get the 5 Seater. Keep the second row seat backs up! Remove the false floor of the trunk to get more height in back. You might want to construct a new false floor cover for the sub trunk space to make it level. You really should keep the dog in a pen in the back, for safety. With the...

    2023 S/W Holiday Update

Yes, but I bet that owners who did not have Unlimited Supercharging did not get those emails!

    2023 S/W Holiday Update

Todd, I received the email, and when I read it, I was under the impression that my car had been updated. I went out to the car, and saw that it wasn’t. Frankly, I was disappointed. Earlier thus year, I received an email from Tesla telling me that if I traded in my Model X with Unlimited Free...

    2023 S/W Holiday Update

It is not unreasonable that a large company could send out emails directly to its customers based upon their products. I receive emais from Amazon that a purchase I have made has been shipped. I’m sure they don’t send generic emails out to everyone saying that shipments have been made.

    2023.44.1

Initial drive after sitting for some time could be your tires having a “flat side”. Once they warm up, they return to being round. It’s more prevalent if the tires are a little low on pressure. And is more prevalent in cold weather.

2023 Model X Front Windshield Tint Installation Methods and Warranty Questions

I would not remove the cameras from the front windshield. A competent installer can cut around the camera unit. Tint won’t void your warranty. Ceramic tint doesn’t trap heat. It reflects it.

Peak Supercharging Rate for Current Model X?

I was amazed at the difference! My old 2017 X would take about 45 minutes to get a decent charge “to continue my trip”. Now with the V3 Superchargers, my 2023 X takes 12 to 15 minutes! Try to arrive at the Supercharger with about 10%.

Peak Supercharging Rate for Current Model X?

Get the Plaid if you want/need the 6 seater. The 5 seat long Range is very quick in “Insane Mode”! And it qualifies for the $7,500 tax credit!

Peak Supercharging Rate for Current Model X?

You may want to start eating at faster restaurants! I believe Tesla is going to start a new fee: an “excess charging” fee if you Supercharge over 80%.

    2017 Model X vs 2023 Model X

I hate to say it, but it seems like Tesla is giving more attention to upgrading Models 3 and Y than it does to S and X. Of course, it sells many more of the less expensive vehicles, so upgrading those affects more customers. I believe that eliminating the Sensors was a cost cutting move for...

    2017 Model X vs 2023 Model X

Have you considered entering your garage nose first rather than backing in? When I approach my garage, my mirrors retract automatically before I enter the garage. And then, they stay closed until I’m driving at about 30 mph. Some people hang a tennis ball from the ceiling that will indicate...

    2017 Model X vs 2023 Model X

It’s interesting that no one in this thread mentioned about Supercharging speeds. I upgraded my 2017 Model X to a 2023 in August to transfer my FSD license to a new vehicle. Supercharging on the new V3 Superchargers is MUCH faster on the new X than on the 2017. On the old X, my strategy on...
