    Model Y Rear Sway Bar

TGuy2024 - I have the Unplugged bars as well. The unplugged rear I measured at 27.2mm in the middle. They feel slightly firmer than OEM MYP in the middle setting.

    Model Y Rear Sway Bar

I can confirm that my MYP rear bar is the thicker one. I measured it at 25.4mm at the middle when I pulled my OEM one out. Sway bars are extremely easy to install. You'll spend more time pulling the darn plastic underbody covers off than you will installing the bars. 🤣

Knew about the hood, but had no idea doors were as well. Magnet test confirms.

Phone Holder Recommendations for Model Y

For me it's the phone position. OEM charger works fine for me, but the mount I'm using I no longer have to lean forward to access.

Any rubbing? Buddy is contemplating 265/50/19 on his setup (similar width and diameter).

Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Extended Wheel Studs - Model Y Performance

Bart404 - I dont have the Dorman studs for comparison, but from internet descriptions, it sounds like it might be close to the MPP length. The OEM rear stud is about 46mm from end of thread to the base of the hat (where the stud bottoms out on the hub). Same measurement on the front stud was...

Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Extended Wheel Studs - Model Y Performance

I have impact tools, but not sure it would have made the job any easier. Unless you're talking about the 32mm axle nut. In that case, it didn't even occur to me to try that. Honestly, griding the side a tiny bit only took me maybe all of 3 minutes. If I were doing this all over again, I...

Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Extended Wheel Studs - Model Y Performance

Same as before, lodge my socket extension and use the Lisle tool to pull the stud flush. No seal for the stud head to squeeze by in the front. Repeat until all studs are installed. Then torque the 3 hub bolts back to 63 ft-lbs, and install the three T30 heat shield bolts. Reinstall the...

Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Extended Wheel Studs - Model Y Performance

Next, reinstall the heat shield bolts. Install the rotor. And the two E18 caliper bolts. Torque caliper bolts to 62 ft-lbs. The factory rotor is originally held on by a 10mm bolt to ease caliper and wheel installation, but really isn't needed. Check fitment of your wheel spacers, and if...

Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Extended Wheel Studs - Model Y Performance

Found some threads on Model 3 extended stud replacements, but nothing really on Model Y. It seems our choices are ARP, Dorman, or MPP studs. I decided to bite the bullet on MPP studs, after trading some emails with Jesse from MPP regarding the install - which apparently install without...

Phone Holder Recommendations for Model Y

No problem! About using just the single arm, I think you're right. I just looked at mine, and it's tilted way towards the drivers side. Good to know that the shelf version with both arms installed is also super stable!

Phone Holder Recommendations for Model Y

I wish I got the one with the shelf too, but it wasn't offered when I got mine. Maybe I'll find a new home for my clamp on one, and get the shelf one like you have. I almost went with magnet too, but ended up with gravity mount. The magnetic charge cable makes it stupid easy for my phone to...

MYP Tein Flex Z Coilover Issue/ Question

Something obviously way off here. Ride height should change with each HAS settings change. And, especially at the extreme ends, the change should be significant. Got any pics with the spring and HAS adjuster while it was installed? And what is your fender gap measurement?

Phone Holder Recommendations for Model Y

Really loving this gravity phone mount that holds the phone exactly where I want it. Very sturdy without any shaking while driving, as with some other arm extension types I've used in the past. Bolts on via an arm that clamps onto the screen base, and I'm only using one of the two extension...

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

TM6969 - The thrust bearing link you posted, shows an ID of 65mm, so that won't work. Measured my buddy's spring perch today, when I was helping him install his. Took a measurement, and seems like you need 70mm ID to work.

Tein Flex Z with 1.8" lift on Model Y Performance

Awesome! I had thought about lifting mine initially, but ended up lowering with TEINs. After playing with settings from full stiff to full soft, I ended up right where you are - 8 clicks from full stiff. Rides great. Post some pics of the side view when you get a chance, not on the curb...

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

TM6969 - I have a buddy I'm going to help install a set on in a few weeks. I'll take some spring perch measurements for you. TypeX - Got mine from Danny at Model+. He's the 2nd post in this thread, gave me a good deal, and super helpful. rev9k - I haven't ridden in a MY with MPP yet. Only...

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

I think it's being rebranded under a few different names. Seen a few variants online HERE on this forum as well, but mostly in carbon or painted black. The only place I found it unpainted and matte black was on Amazon Link here. If you go with it, I recommend using 6mm auto plastic push...

No, closer to half that. My MYP before the coilovers sat around 29.8" ground to fender arch.

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

Small update... Threw a spare tire into the trunk over the weekend, which dropped the back about 1/8". Since I plan to leave it in there, I wanted to even the rear heigh out, so I increased the rear HAS to 39mm, from my previous 37mm setting. For anyone that's wondering, the fronts are easy...

    Removing "T" emblems

Pulled mine off with just dental floss. The floss broke a lot at times, but just keep working it with a new piece until it came off. Then I rubbed the foam tape off with a terry cloth, and used WD40 to remove the adhesive. Simple green and alcohol to clean off the WD40.

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

^^ Thanks for the parts hookup, Danny! And agreed, I'm super happy with the way she sits now. Some pics of the instruction manual, for others who might be interested in what the manual shows with regards to adjustment dimensions referenced in my first post: And the recommended starting point...

Tein Flex Z Coilovers – Model Y Install and Review

Decided to write this review, since I couldn’t really find too much feedback on this forum for these coilovers. Saw this thread HERE about the coilovers with different sized tires, but decided to start a new thread about just the coilovers. When the box first arrived, I was upset to find the...

    Lowering model y standard

You couldn't cut the stock springs even if you wanted to. They're tapered, so would no longer seat after cutting.

22MYP Suspension Upgrade third party or new 23 comfort suspension?

That video is correct! I never thought to check since I already had the socket. I just measured the Y's strut nut access hole at 22mm diameter. The ebay socket is 17mm OD, and I my standard deep socket is 19mm OD. So indeed, you don't need the special socket for the Y. But the ebay socket...

22MYP Suspension Upgrade third party or new 23 comfort suspension?

Aside from sockets and wrenches, the only more specialized tool would be a T50 torx. Although not required, you can get (or make) a small OD 13mm socket for the front shock mounting nuts. With the reduced OD socket, you can remove the shock/spring assembly without having to remove the control...

This 10mm bolt fell when I took off the wheel

It's the bolt that holds the rotor in place for easier assembly. Not critical and you can drive without it.

    21" Uberturbines wheels with spacers

Depending on tolerances could work, or could be a problem. I measured my 2023 uberturbine pockets on the back of the rim at just under 12mm, and the amount of wheel stud at just under 27mm. You might want to consider 17mm if you have the shallow 12mm pocket to be safe.
  39. C

    19" Gemini wheels inside diameter?

So you must be using caliper adapter brackets. A stock rotor is 355mm, and you're increasing up to 385mm. Your adapter brackets will push your calipers about 15mm closer to the rim. You're gonna more than 15mm gap from your rotor to the rim... maybe 20mm or so to play it safe.
  40. C

    19" Gemini wheels inside diameter?

It's the caliper you need to check for clearance. You should probably check with the brake kit manufacturer to see what the radius of the farthest part of the caliper is, to know for sure if your kit will fit.
  41. C

    19" Gemini wheels inside diameter?

The wheel ID is tapered, so it's not any one measurement. At where the wheel interfaces with the rotor, is just over 17-1/4". But the caliper sits inboard, and at that location it's just over 17-1/2".

    Model 3/Y Camber Arm Choices

Running whiteline arms. Looks very similar to the megans, but uses polyurethane bushings. I've had good luck with whiteline poly products in the past, so hopeful these will be issue free. Been on the car for a month so far without problems.

Anybody installed these "widebody" fender trim?

Thanks for that! My original question answered. According to that listing, looks like 0.57" protrusion front, and 0.6" protrusion rear.
