I already subscribe to FSD so I heard I’ll get the subsequent month free.

Currently subscribed to FSD on 2024.8.7 (FSD 11). Just got the message that 2024.14 is ready to install. Should I wait instead for 2024.9.5 for FSD 12.4? Is that even possible, wait it out until another update gets sent to me, or am I ‘stuck’ with 2024.14.8?

This definitely sounds like like something Hansshow would need to help with as I don't think the original firmware was ever 'released' to the public OUTSIDE of the units with it preinstalled.

Ahh. Now I understand. Curious, why you'd want the original file as there have been a few updates provided by Hansshow? Also, do you have the regular Linux-based F9 or the Android system?

So you used to have the 'old' UI on your F9. You then used a different manufacturer's firmware to give your self a 'new' UI. Now screen is giving various issues. Hansshow gave you the original 'old' firmware for you to rollback to a working unit. Now you are looking for a way to reset your unit...

So, I just received a very new firmware for the F9 Android version, V.240515. As soon as I get it installed and running I'll see any refinements and share the file here.

Believe me, I have. But it takes them forever to get some sort of answer to me so I'm hitting every avenue I can.

I have. As of today, I'm still at 8.7. How so? The upgrade has been 'labeled' as an upgrade for 8.9. Nothing was ever said if those lower than 8.9 can go directly to 2024.14.6, or if they have to be upgraded to 8.9 first,.

So I've discovered an issue with mine. In the Android interface, I cannot get the hotspot stay 'on'. I have a Hansshow rear screen that will utilize the hotspot created by this screen (using my installed SIM card). It keeps failing at every drive as the hotspot in the F9 screen keeps reverting...

I would imagine there's quite a bit of differences, or uniqueness, between them. One is running an Android OS with apps support. I imagine a Linux subsystem is quite a bit 'simpler' than Android, hence the cost difference. If it wasn't for the Android version's SIM card support, I wouldve saved...

Yup. I had two other Hansshow displays that showed it that way. Not this one, though. Also, still don't know where/how to install SIM card.

Yeah, I noticed that on mine also. I can't get the version info. In their two other screens that I owned you just hold the right scroll wheel, left I believe, and it displays the version. I can't get it to display on this one though.

Are both of those for the Android version or the plain Linux one?

This would be good info. It has two slots on the side where it looks like a SIM card would go, but the display doesn’t pick it up. @Hansshow

Do you think that could be the holdup? I'd check and see if you may have locked out your car in the WC settings. Also see if you're getting 120 volts x 2 (plus ground) in your system details screen.
