It's now 3 years later and it's doing it to me in my new Model Y. Same stretch of road every time. This is just regular driving BTW, no autopilot, no FSD. Just driving down the road and it feels like I drove over a pothole but it is the steering wheel trying to yank me into oncoming traffic.

They're shitty cast wheels. Cast is heavy but cheap to manufacture. All the good aftermarket wheels are forged- it's stronger so you need less material for a given amount of strength. As always, when the question is "why did Tesla do things that way" the correct answer is always "to save money."

The stretched look isn't the problem. Up to a certain point, wider wheels will actually make handling better. The problem with the Model Y is that the uberturbines are insanely heavy and the suspension struggles to keep them planted over bumps. Going to 19x10 w/ 275/45/19 won't be any less...

Right now I am leaning towards 19x9.5 w/ 275/45/19 square setup. It's not a cheap upgrade tho and my factory setup still has a ton of tread life left.

I think they switched the design to the 2023 pattern or at least they only show the 2023 pattern to people who own 2023 cars (what I expected way back in the beginning).

One other option is to just go with 18 or 19 inch wheels and run 275 width tires on all 4 corners. I'm still researching this but it looks like a promising way to shave a lot of unsprung weight.

It looks like Tesla updated their store and switched the design of the bins to match the 2023 cars. When I log in, the storage bins look like the correct shape now and when I select it, a message appears that says "This is compatible with your 2023 Model Y"

I put in a return for the tesla bins and got the Otrifowd ones off Amazon and they fit perfectly.

Where are you guys finding a single brand of tires in both 275 and 305 35/21? All I could find was pzero summer tires and a bunch of winter tires. You seem to get a lot more choices in the 275/295 sizes.
