Aftermarket tails have red fog built in, with 4 pin harness. Figuring out a non-gateway config solution this weekend for rear fog and fixing amber and brake turning on same time for older cars. People exploiting 300$+ for this is insane.

EV offer aftermarket taillight phantom style came with 3 & 4 pin adapter built in. Still doesn’t work and still dealing with amber and brake turning on the same time. Only non-config gateway solution is running a wire from the side indicators to the trunk which I’m doing to do this weekend

Where to change values on toolbox 3 for taillight and rear fog to global? What’s the proper procedure to ensure lasting changes?

Do you change everything to global? Where in toolbox3 are these settings if you don’t mind? Is there a proper procedure to do the gateway change? Change these parameters then initiate software reinstall?

Can I recode the taillights to global and enable rear fogs via toolbox3? Where in toolbox3 do I do this? A local bodyshop may connect to my car and help me with my aftermarket tails (classes amber and brake light turning on at same time).
