Poll: Do You Plug In Every Day (for daily driving, home charging)?

That’s cool. Yeah I don’t really care about the efficiency loss either, just curious if you knew.

Poll: Do You Plug In Every Day (for daily driving, home charging)?

Looks great! What tires? Continentals? How much did these wheel impact efficiency?

Poll - Who really need a model 2?

Tell that to the rest of the world Check out the avg car sizes around the globe Then go check out avg incomes around the globe Then check avg US household income Doesn’t have to win, just needs market share which they’ve already proven consumers want their product. And if it was cheaper, more...

Would you trade in an original MY SR for a new MY?

But they also plan to disable USS on older models and transition them to Vision if I’m not mistaken. So keeping it for the USS has an expiration date.

Playing own music in 2024 Model Y

You can connect your phone via Bluetooth and play all the music you want

Poll: Do You Plug In Every Day (for daily driving, home charging)?

Gotcha. How are you tracking? 1.5% seems half of avg but 4% seems above avg according to Tessie app and some of the info in threads here.

    Bogus "Gas Savings"

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Seems your energy consumption is pretty low, so that’s great

    Bogus "Gas Savings"

    What type of 18’s?

Poll: Do You Plug In Every Day (for daily driving, home charging)?

I personally hate when I have to flee the country last minute and I’m low on charge, that’s the worst and then it takes 15 minutes to supercharge up to 80% - never again.
  10. W

Poll: Do You Plug In Every Day (for daily driving, home charging)?

I don’t really think it’s matters all that much either way but I plug in everyday and have followed some of the recommendations listed in other threads for battery health optimization because it’s not difficult to do and doesn’t have an impact on me. My Y is at .8% battery loss after 1 year and...

Model X Tax rebate CO denied

I like how it started as “just spin up an LLC” And then when pressed ended with “Oh yeah, you’ll need an actual business need and probably some attorneys”… 😂 Great advice 🤦‍♂️

My on going battle regarding my purchase of a used 2013 Model S P85+

Advice: Stop worrying about this. Drive it until you’re ready for something new. Sell it for whatever you can get. Take the learnings with you and don’t repeat this.

Make your robotaxi predictions for the 8/8 reveal

Also I bet they announce plans for additional AI integration
  14. W

Make your robotaxi predictions for the 8/8 reveal

I agree. I have a feeling the robotaxi and model 2 will have a lot of overlap and both be predicated on the new manufacturing process they want to employ

    Driving without seatbelt.

This seems like such a non-problem to solve but a easy solution when moving cars in your driveway, click in seatbelt, the sit in the seat…

And it probably means these cars can drive better than many humans in tested areas.

    Cybertruck in Nature

Yeah that looks right, just south of barn and close to the flats by airport. It’s bit harder to tell with the snow.

    Accident with summon

You mean you crashed your car into another car using the summon feature

Yeah but I wasn’t for sure initially, thus the question….
  21. W

    Cybertruck in Nature

Haha what? What a bizarre response. This looks like 89 or 191 in front of the Tetons, most likely on of the turn outs on 191 between Moran and Jackson, maybe close to barn but wasn’t sure. Looks decently far south.
  22. W

    Cybertruck in Nature

    Where is this?

    326 vs 330

Telsa has been updating the EPA ratings for cars and getting more conservative so there is differences across listings but they are all the same under the hood.

Urgent help with picking model Y today to buy

I would agree with a lot of what was said Buy new at those prices. More warranty, better features, etc I would get LR if you can. The range is nice for lots of reasons. One of the biggest reasons to go 2024 would be making sure you get HW4 computer and better resolution cameras both which...

    Redeem supercharging miles

Sad day in the UK then Can you stack 1 year of premium connectivity in the UK with credits?
  26. W

    Redeem supercharging miles

@Pagemakers It’s available in the app. Maybe only available in certain countries though.
  27. W

    Redeem supercharging miles

Maybe get the acceleration boost with your points? Since you charge mostly at home miles seem like not the best value for your credits More fun and no expiration!

The Cybertruck's fatal flaw that they don't want you to know:

Just a heads up OP has stopped posting on this after being widely discredited and has just quietly stopped posting about this aspect and has moved on to piling on to other articles that are negative. So I wouldn’t expect a response.

America's tire lifting model Y without jack pad - is it safe?

Hard to say, maybe nothing. Service center would be the best to tell you.

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

I only charge during full moons and I’m expecting zero battery loss ever based on some articles I read…

Great info, thanks for this sharing OP was banned awhile back but I’m sure he’d argue with this as well.

Third battery has failed - need advice

Why not take that 17k and pick up a new 3 or Y? Fresh warranty, newer tech, etc

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

For me I found it easy to just place my thumb on the right blinker button as a default position. This made it super simple to operate both without issue. I do wish they would do a raised symbol for each. This would make it very easy to distinguish by feel and improve usability more.

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

This doesn’t make any sense and is assuredly false

    Model Y Competition: Rivian R2 Price & Specs Leaked! -- $47500, 0-60 3 Sec, 330 Miles Range

I’ve see you post a few things about your Rivian experience. Have you summarized your dislikes anywhere that you can link to? I’m just curious. Or can you bullet point the main ones?
  39. W

    Autonomous Car Progress

You are correct, I was just adding that in as context for things coming that will apply to situations like this.

    Model Y Competition: Rivian R2 Price & Specs Leaked! -- $47500, 0-60 3 Sec, 330 Miles Range

I’ll consider and R2 or R3 but only after they’ve been out awhile and only if Rivian makes some other improvements

Does your state charge you a penalty for owning a Tesla?

I’m sure this can be easily looked up but I’m curious how other countries, especially Nordic countries like Norway are doing this. They have transitioned to like 80+% BEV sales and huge % of total vehicles are BEV. Obviously they are a lot smaller and lots of other differences but just curious...

Big hole in rear engine cover and oil leaking

It’s definitely not good. I would schedule service and refrain from driving it a lot more.

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

Which gearcruncher disproved. Inconclusive Evidence is stronger that they are the same IMO. Gearcruncher is the only one who disassembled, ran voltage tests, etc. And as he points out Tesla doesn’t mention anything or give any guidance to do this in situations that would warrant it. I don’t...
