From El Centro to La Mesa, a long stretch of I-8 (~100 miles) without Supercharger so this is definitely welcome. However may be better if Tesla can add another location somewhere closer to the middle, like the Golden Acorn Casino.

One day I’d like to drive up to Yellowknife in winter, to see Aurora Borealis. Currently it seems possible only in S (non-Plaid) without relying on NEMA adaptor. Maybe the Canadien government will add a few more chargers in that route.

That what I did from SD to Vancouver and back; review and determine next stop at every stop. I prepared a list of SC locations en route; mostly V3 but also included a few V2 if strategically located. It’s 3-page and very helpful.

Based on my recent roadtrip, 30 minutes of charging can get you about 3 hours of driving at 70mph. Unless you have super strong bladder, you’d need bathroom break anyway. Just be sure to find SC locations with 24 hrs. bathroom (gas station) during non-business hours. 2 people nonstop driving...
