Just had the electric boot strut replaced by mobile service which was nice. The original strut did not have the o-ring installed. The boot was not working over the weekend. I suspect the wet and very cold December had something to do with water ingress + freezing water causing damage. Will see...

Driving into Lincoln on a lovely Sunday yesterday. Saw two white M3's one behind the other. Did a frantic wave and the second M3 driver did a wave then a thumbs up! I replied in kind. Happy days.

Auto 18c on a warm day and 20c on a colder day. Only time I switch away from auto is to turn on AC and to blow to the windscreen if I notice it fogging up a bit. Haven't noticed a massive drain on efficiency, getting about 200kWh/mile on a mild 10c day.

I agree yeah, it seems strange that the paint has been removed all the way to the primer, as a normal scratch or any kind of scrape I'd normally expect to see some paint underneath.
