FS: Used 22" OEM Model X Rims $1200, Colorado

These are used (about 20K -30K miles?) OEM 22" model X wheels. At least 1 tire needs to be replaced, It could be 2, I would be super surprised if it was more than that. I won't want to ship them so I priced them to entice hopefully a local transaction (Castle Rock Colorado, but I can easily meet...

This might be for any Network engineers....Please help!

The best way to solve this problem would be to get a packet capture of the network generated over the mobile hotspot and compare, this way you are not just trying everything in the blind. I thought that teslas did all their updates over a vpn connection and you wouldn't see 443 and 80 traffic...

FS: very 'Meh' set of dark 22" OEM X rims, $1200, Colorado

These are an old set of okish quality tires and rims. Overall the rims/tire-pressure sensors are in good condition, the tires are at ok-> bad condition. I think I drove on them for like 20K miles ish, then replaced them with a new set of tires/rims and they have just been sitting in a stack in...

    "Better than people realize"

I was thinking about this for a few days and I break up this statement into 2 categories. 1 - "The release version of the cyber truck will have better stats than what you saw" So, faster 0-60, longer range, more storage, smaller footprint, more towing 2 - "There are features that you will like...

Nvidia introduces new FSD computer chip

A single number metric has the fidelity of being a single number metric. I don't think it is accurate to compare TOPS between a neural network chip and a general purpose GPU because the gpu has many operations it can do and to run a neural network it will need to do more operations than a...

Traffic colors wrong in some zoom levels / not refreshing

Yes I am seeing the same thing in my model X, if you turn on the satellite overlay it will reload the traffic data but that trick will only work once. Otherwise you have to zoom in or out and find a zoom level that is not cached. I have a friend with an X that had this problem and it has since...

New Model X P100D doesn't charge to full 289 miles?

No need to worry about it. The estimate moves up and down depending on how often you deplete the battery. Lots of mid range charges (which is good for the battery) will cause the battery to underestimate charge. Lots of full charges will cause the battery to over estimate the charge. Overall...

Buying a used Lamborghini/Ferrari/or other supercar Vs. new 2020 Roadster

There will be significant differences in maintenance costs. I would go for the new roadster over other super cars. Owning a supercar is just as expensive as you think Depending on the super car it could be tens of thousands of dollars in annual maintenance. And the roadster is going to be much...

    Can't "unsee" it

I am on my 2nd Tesla and I thought about getting that one wrapped, however my current idea is to just fix the chips as they come up. I saw this video and the process seems realtively straight forward. I did put on the expel film on the headlights, I figured fixing rock chips is easier that...

    URGENT QUESTION

My quick search from the internet came up with a couple things. It is a much bigger deal with a limited slip differential than an open differential like the one found on teslas. With the limited slip wheels of different sizes would put extra wear on the clutch within the differential as it tries...

    URGENT QUESTION

I was reading that the car has an open differential and it would probably just eat up the smaller tire. A limited slip would stress out the clutch in the differential. It might be a good idea to take some air out of the larger tire. Better yet, put it in on the rear axle and keep the car in...

    URGENT QUESTION

I wouldn't, they are different outer diameters. And I am not sure what that would do to the suspension. It might work due to the air suspension. On the Tesla store the 19" winter tires have a 50 profile and the model s tires have a 45 profile for the side wall.

Did not make it to Mountains :( Please advise

Also 22" rims decrease the range by a good amount. There is an electec article saying 22.3% more power consumption switching from 20 inch rims to 22. I wish the trip estimator showed it's math.

Just Placed my Model X Order!!

General guess is 3rd quarter this year at the earliest. You may mean AP1.0 to AP 2.0, there hasn't been a lidar in a production Tesla and Elon has said several times that they can do it with cameras only. Also it is speculated existing 2.0 owners can get the computer upgraded later on. There...

    100D slow off the line?

Loaners only limit top speed (max 80mph). A slower launch it could be a couple things, temprature changes the resistance of the battery so it might have been a little cold, also as the weight of the X shifts to the back wheels, the front motor has less traction. This is why the performance X has...

Blackvue 750 won't connect to pixel xl 2

I have a blackvue 750 and a first gen pixel and what i noticed is that after connecting to wifi i got that "this network is not connected to the internet" warning, and the trick was to click on that and say 'OK' then it would actually use the wifi for the blackvue app. Now I noticed that I have...

Anyone DIY a heater for the front radar?

I saw that there are some plastics that conduct heat like this: https://www.celanese.com/coolpoly I was also thinking that even something that doesn't mess with the radar much it might mess up a calibration built into the sensor. i looked at the clearance and since it is so large the heated pad...

Anyone DIY a heater for the front radar?

As we all know the 'new' bumper shields the front radar better from snow, however it can still build up over the radar. Has anyone added a heater to the front to prevent this for long roadtrips? I was thinking about it and I don't think it would be super difficult. Obviously a metal plate would...

    AP2.0 Cameras: Capabilities and Limitations?

The take off and landing are done by a local drone pilot then when they are high enough up it switches to the pilot on the other side of the planet. Since they can fly for a long time it doesn't take a lot of local pilots to handle all of the take off and landings.

Model X Goes Faster Than 155MPH!?!?

Both of those situations can kill someone. I would expect a trained person to know what variables they could control and what variables are outside of their control. People don't expect to be over taken with a 100 mph difference so if someone was going to change lanes and they glanced back and...

    FSD video completely fake?

I always figured that they manually did things that they assumed they could automate later. For me as long as they didn't have a guy in back driving the car and the hard coded stuff could come from automatic HD mapping then it would be an honest demo.

Can you set Tail lights always on? After rear ended too many times

What would be a neat idea is to put in a rear facing radar and if a car comes up too fast or too close light up the brake lights

WTB: 22" OEM wheels and tires for Model X

Soon, I'd like to trade my 22" black rims for 20" + cash. Located in Maryland, I am taking delivery of an inventory model X with the black 22"s late this week or next week, so they should be in excellent condition.

Has anyone added an active spoiler to a model themselves?

I have been looking around and I have not seen any DIY active spoiler stuff. I looked at some pictures and it is unclear to me what it would take to 'DIY' a fixed spoiler into an active one. A deal breaker to this mod would be if the fixed spoiler is somehow fused to the rear glass. I would...

Rockville MD service center is absolutely useless

I am in the same boat hear, I got my Model S in Feb 2014 and they have opened up early just to accommodate giving us a loaner car before my wife went to work. I have only seen top notch service from them. I have been in for a rockchip, squeaky brakes, annual maintenance/battery shield upgrade...
