So it turned out that the ultrasonic sensor in the passenger door was loose in the bracket. They tightened up the bracket and that went away. I still get it occasionally on the driver's side door but only in the morning. I've learned that it's because the driver's door faces east where I park...
Thank you, I did that and now I have it going back in tomorrow with multiple timestamps logged. Tesla said that the door sensors were detecting something blocking the doors but there was nothing there at all. It suddenly started happening in February and so the service tech guessed that maybe...
A couple weeks ago I came out to my 2022 (refresh) Model X and found that neither falcon wing door would open. When I pushed on the physical door open button the car just beeped three times. No problem at all with the front doors. The controls for the falcon wing doors were also greyed out on...
After waiting a whole month to get it, I have had 2022.36.6 for about 12 hours now and already I'm being offered 2022.40.4. When it rains it pours I guess!
I finally got the notice to download 2022.36.5 this morning! Unfortunately by the time it downloaded it was too late for me to initiate the install before going to work, so I set it to install tonight. Sounds like this will be the end of all of my problems!
I wish that there was an option beyond Advanced where they would actually release the latest to eager users the minute that it gets posted. If there was I would've gotten 2022.36.1, 2022.36.2, 2022.36.3, and 2022.36.4 already. I don't mind installing software updates every week, it's not like...
Took the dogs out for a walk early this morning. Stepped out on the front porch just after sunrise, birds are chirping, and there's "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" coming from the driveway. Walked around the block, and coming back from across the street, two houses down from mine, you could...
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
still stuck on 2022.28.2, can you tell?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Same here. I get WiFi in my driveway and the car always shows as connected when I'm at home, but I only get one bar. I wonder if my WiFi connection is not strong enough? Too bad the car doesn't have an Ethernet port next to the charge port, I'd buy a 100 ft cable and run it right from my router!
So frustrating!
I used to have a job selling stereos and home theaters for a major electronics retailer. I was an audio enthusiast at the time (still am!) and so I would read industry magazines, websites, etc and keep up on everything. Most of my fellow salesmen didn't give a $h1t about any of...
So weird that they forced you and I to go to 28.2 even though 36.2 has already been out for awhile now. Lends credence to my theory that you have to have 28.2 as a stepping stone to get 36.2.
Car has been parked in the driveway, connected to WiFi, for the past 24 hours or so and still no prompt to update software. I even lit one of these prayer candles but He will not deliver me from the devil's buzzing...
I dunno, my father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate told me that if you go into the car's main menu and tap all of the buttons on the left side main menu bar in alphabetical order three times in a row with less than one second delay between each tap that it triggers an instant...
Can you please share with us the magic incantation that you had to recite to the Tesla gods to be blessed with the 2022.36.2 software update notification? Should I sacrifice my chicken to the east or the west? Does doing it on a full moon help?
Yeah, my car that got delivered on Sept 27th had that same 2022.23.101.2 build and it had the buzzing right from the factory. On October 7th it prompted me to install 2022.28.2, which I found odd because 2022.36.2 was already being pushed to others on that day. I went ahead and installed it, and...
I knew I recognized this feeling from sometime in the past 😂
The VIN's that are being prioritized for 36.2 are probably the people who haven't even noticed the buzzing 🤣
We just took delivery of a 2022 Model X 6 seater like ten days ago. I found this piece on the floor in the second row. Any idea what it is? It looks like a clip that was glued to something at some point and then fell off. I’m not sure whether it fell off of my car or if it’s a bonus piece that...
So my car was delivered last week with Software 2022.23.101.2 which already had the buzzing/whining bug. Now today I get prompted to install 2022.28, not 2022.36. I sure hope that 2022.28 is just a prerequisite, and that very shortly after installing it, it'll prompt me to install 2022.36! 🤬😭
Just got back from Service. Technician said it's a firmware thing, there's nothing they were able to do about it. Told me to sit and wait until new firmware comes out that addresses the issue.
It's funny you mention that. I was very active in the "Model X Refresh Waiting Room" thread from July 2021 (when I ordered my Model X) until last week when it finally arrived, 453 days later. I had that page bookmarked and would check in every day looking for clues as to when I might get mine...
Cross post from the Model S thread:
We just took delivery of a new 2022 X LR on Tuesday and it has been doing this continuously when parked. The car is on software version 2022.23.101.2. Already made a service appointment for next week. I hope they can do something about it, it’s super annoying

It’s been a Marathon Monday getting financing and insurance lined up for a Tuesday afternoon pickup appointment. As recently as Sunday morning we didn’t have a VIN or any indication that one was coming anytime soon. Definitely been the most stressful car purchase of my life!
Mine did that and then a few days later I suddenly had a VIN even though I was still three weeks away from my new window. So this is a really good sign
Tesla said it’s fine, they can register it in my name as long as her and I are both present. Credit Union is closed today, so I need to go from zero to loan tomorrow for Tuesday pickup
Woke up to a VIN!

Question for those of you who have been through the process. The reservation is under my wife's name. Does the financing need to be arranged under her name as well? She would prefer me to deal with all things financial on this one, and it's easiest to take...
Congrats! According to the tracker all that's left from the January 2021 North American orders is some anonymous dude from Tennessee and jrjohnson8 from Detroit.
I saw Edwardsburg, MI in your profile image and had to do a double-take. I lived in Michigan for 25 years, drove all over the state. I thought I knew every city and town in the lower peninsula and yet and never heard of that town. Just looked it up, and evidently Edwardsburg makes Dowagiac looks...
Well, even though it looks like I'm going to miss the EOQ push, I guess that means I can still hold out for matrix headlights, seat back pockets, HW4, 4160 batteries, and a "2023" model year designation...
(15 amps)*(0.8 safety factor)*(120 volts) = 1.44kW. The Model X has a battery size of 100kWh. So even if you achieved 100% efficiency in charging it would take (100kWh) / (1.44kW) = 69.4 hours to recharge at Level 1. Dear Lord!
Looks like it's just me, RoBoRaT, dwhumans, NCFD, canucklehead, cjkosh, Rolo1069, Mr. Lyhte, Midnightfox79, rpo, and hotcoals88 left in the July (North American) no vinners club.
