Yea, a few threads about this issue already. Seems to affect Intel atom mcu2 vehicles. Also center usb ports are not working consistently, applicable for model 3 & y cars which have centers with data ability.

Same here. My usb music & game controllers are not working in center console usb (I have data capable usb ports) but everything seems fine if I use my glovebox usb. 2022 model y MCU 2 built 12/2021.

Try usb music or game controller devices…you’ll see they don’t work often anymore.

Are you sure you don’t have a model year 2022 and your vehicle production date was around mid 11/2021 or 12/2021. That’s when Tesla started using center console usb-c modules in model y which support power only.

I made my own raspberry pi 4B setup & own the bundle they sell but if you have a car older than 2021, you’ll need to buy the bundle they sell or make something similar with external WiFi antenna. www.teslaandroid.com .

@sbyun , I broke the same trunk trim clip today. Did you find a replacement ? My tesla SC refused to sell or give me clips in past. They’d only sell the entire trim piece and said it comes with all the clips.

I just had similar repair done. Only the rear drive unit inverter was replaced not whole rear drive unit, new pyro fuse since it blew, new 12V battery although I never lost 12v functionalities.

My issues seem to have gone away after updating to Vichy’s software 2024.8.7. I have 2022 model y with retrofitted Tesla oem center storage usb module that supports data.

My issues have reduced (maybe vanished) after getting tesla firmware 2024.8.7 .

Dashcam uses a usb port capable of data operations. Some cars do not have a usb port in glove box & use other usb ports for dash cam, music playback, game controllers.

Yup, barcode labels is what I was going to say. My 2022 MYP with all weather Michelin tires had the sqeak. I ended up getting 19” tires due to road tripping & will get the labels shaved off when I put 21” on again. Bunch of threads about it. Seems most prevalent on MYP.

Yea for 48amp charging the circuit should be 60amp rating at least in USA. This is according to openEVSE and my electrician who has a model Y. I have 60 amp.
