If you put larger diameter tires on your car, the camber will be off. That’s just math…
tires that are wider or taller than original equipment tires stretch the suspension slightly and cause changes in camber and caster angles
it was about $180. I also had them inspect my suspension. After a set and a half of these larger tires I was curious.
Camber Adjusted.
Suspension components are in good shape
I drive like a madman. I got the performance for the same reason. not sure where in Cali you live, but I drive Santa Cruz to San Jose every day on the 17, fast. it's brutal on tires. still got 32k miles on the first set, and 35k miles on the second, the AS4s will last you!
yes. I was told specifically by a tesla engineer to do so. just a single alignment. in includes a camber adjustment
Its tires. people change tires sizes all the time. Tesla will do the alignment.
My efficiency is the same. after 2 sets. Handling is great. still. 99% of people are thrilled with the upgrade. if you dont like them, that's fine. but no need to worry people with problems that don't exist.
Youre looking for issues.
I want to clarify that I haven’t seen anyone have traction control warnings the only reason that would happen is a large mismatch between front and rear. Which isn’t the case with the setup I suggested.
That’s really odd. What was your tire pressure? And what did you put on the front? If you just upped the rears and left the OEM size on front, that would be the culprit.
You'll get around 35k miles. The 70k is not honored by Michelin or any tire place when there is a staggered stance. they will honor 50% (35K). I already looked into this.
speedo difference for the 40's is not that extreme. If you set your tires at 39, realistically, 70mph is 72-73mph. which doesnt matter at all. all of those ".86"" measurements are not exact for every person. tire pressure, occupant/cargo weight, and other things affect the actual running...
No, I haven't. If theres enough snow to need either, im not driving. Ive had a few times where I was mid drive when it started snowing heavily, and they've done great in ~2"-5".
I'd say it's a hard no with the inner front tire clearance if any moderate turns are required.
the tracker is a waste of time. people dont come online to tell everyone how their car had zero issues and was a good, boring driver all day. but if it makes one mistake, you'll hear ALL about it.
Negative voices are louder than positive ones. Thats a place for complainers to feel validated.
1. nearly ran over a cyclist? bull****. Regardless of whether it respected the bike lane or not, it does not go near cyclists or pedestrians. it's OVERLY cautious with both of those.
2. Parking lanes? it's known to go closer to the curb between cars, but it ALWAYS goes back out to the main...
It was never removed. youre all blowing things out of proportion.
If an icon was removed from your phones home screen but still 100% usable, and 2 finger taps away, you wouldn't complain.
get over it.
I haven’t…honestly I’m completely happy with my previous run on these tires mileage and performance wise. I drive 100-350 miles a day. An extra 2k Miles doesn’t mean much to me.
It's common sense. Traction control kicks in when it notices tires moving a different speed than the rest of the tires. your performance model expects a difference between the front and rear tires. if you remove that difference, the computer will think the rear tires are slipping.
This same...
You have to put in that year and model of each of those cars.
265 front tires = 2015 porsche macan turbo.
295 rear tires, 2021 Jaguar F-Pave SVR.
That lets you order them. both times ive shown up to get them installed, I had to tell the manager that I understand they arent the OEM fit. They had...
Nope. thats just people who need to adjust their headlights down 2 notches. All new SW versions beta and non beta, have vastly improved auto high beams. unless youre seeing them flashing at you. which doesnt happen.
No idea honestly... I went wider because the rims looked silly being out farther than the tire. if youre just looking for a wider looking stance, get some spacers.
