    Tesla Price Reductions

Looks like the 0% will also apply to the MY. Tempted to place an order at zero % finance. Push for Sept registrations maybe?

    Granny charger

Thanks for raising this. We’re taking our newly acquired Mercedes EQE on a Spain / Portugal road trip this summer and was hoping to use our Tesla granny charger as a backup. I’m pleased to report it’s worked fine with the Merc. Phew - relief - as I was planning to charge where we are staying.

    Scratched windscreen

Got the same issue with my M3 within 2 weeks of a 3 year lease. Really annoyed at the beginning and thought the same - cheap Tesla glass - but the windscreen has been hit with a fair few stones without cracking! Nothing you can do - either get used to it or replace the windscreen. I’m privately...

    Controversial Opinion?

I’ve discovered this first hand today. I’ve been thinking about terminating my 3 year M3 lease early for a while. I’m half way through my lease now. However back in December the early termination fee was circa £3k, today the lease company wants £4.5k. I thought it would have gone down not up...

    MYP Vibration at 55-60+ MPH

Folks, appreciate my sentiments are from a M3 LR but I had the same issue with Vibration at high speeds when new. I had my wheels balanced, swapped and tyre pressures dropped. I’m pleased to say either I’ve gotten used to some vibration due to firmish ride or as suggested by Tesla tech tyres...

Carrying bikes on the back of a Model 3 Performance in the UK

I’ve been meaning to get some bike carriers for my roof bars so thanks for the top tip. Wasn’t sure which ones were compatible with the Tesla roof bars.

    Tesla Roadside Assistance - appalling

Might as well add my thoughts - my X5 had an identical problem, called BMW roadside assistance, they were out within an hour, wheel off, stone out, job done. That’s roadside assistance.

    MY inventory stock

We currently have a M3 LR and looking to make the move to a MY as we need the extra space and wife likes the idea of a slightly higher riding car. There are loads of MY LRs in inventory / in stock via leasing brokers but is there anyway in checking whether any have USS / check VIN. She is...

Just received my new car without ultrasonic sensors

We currently have a M3 LR and are looking at ending the current lease early and taking on a MY LR as need some extra space the Y provides over the M3. There are loads of inventory MYs and some lease brokers have a fair few in stock too. Is there anyway in checking (the VIN no) if any of these...

    Gardx ... any reviews?

Did the same and applied BMW protect - basically a branded GardX product. I bought the 2 stage kit on eBay for £15. Bargain - took me an hour or so to apply.

    Trip to Rotterdam Via EuroTunnel

Just came back from France on the eurotunnel. I agree the single deck is much easier to navigate and where electric cars should travel. On my return leg from France they clearly didn’t care and I travelled on the double decker with normal cars.

    Gatwick supercharger experiences?

I did exactly the same trip from Northamptonshire a few months back. I was fully charged when I left so only needed to charge on my return journey. You’ll need to come off the M23 and drive around Crawley before you arrive at the supercharger / service centre. The sales folks were great - we...

    Pearl White Front bumper yellowing

I received my white M3 LR in December and noticed in the last few weeks that the drivers side front bumper where it meets the front wing has discoloured compared with the wing - seems to have yellowed. The nearside looks fine however. I’ve had no repair done / damage and looking at a photo on...

    Charging Experience France

Had a great journey to Normandy today in our M3 LR - stopped at the Folkestone Eurotunnel supercharger and had another quick charge at the aire de la Baie de Somme an hour or so sound of Calais. Loads of superchargers were available but non Tesla EV owners were queuing for the Ionity chargers...

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

Tigermad - might be worth giving Tesla a call again. Might be who you get on the line as opposed to anything else.

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

Just called Tesla and they activated the option to upgrade to premium connectivity. They did it in the back end - I had to log out and back in again for the option to be available. Don’t understand why some requests like mine are being actioned and not others. Tesla are going to be raking it in...

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

ALD advised that Premium connectivity was on an extended trial until now i.e the lease companies were not paying for this nor would I say the cost is included in the monthly lease cost. I’m just as disappointed as the next person but this is clearly Tesla maximising profits

    Does anyone wave anymore?

Last week I flashed my lights at a Model S heading in the other direction to warn him of A police speed check - he waved back not realising I was trying to warn him and saw him being pulled over in my rear view mirror.

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

For those leasing their Tesla’s via ALD, I contacted them today re the end of premium connectivity. The customer service agent advised she had been receiving multiple queries regarding this and asked the maintenance team to contact me. They in turn have advised that I will be able to purchase...

    Shocking Steering Vibration.

Good to know that it’s me not the car that is being overly sensitive to this.

    Shocking Steering Vibration.

Stock Michelin tyres and I’ve dropped the pressures to 42 psi to allow for a more comfortable car ride. To be fair it made no difference to the vibration 42 or 44 psi. But you are right on reflection - tyres are firmer when cold.
  23. N

    Road surface feedback

Maybe. Might explain why the vibrations are felt more during colder weather / temps. All tyres have edge correct pressures.
  24. N

    Road surface feedback

I’m trying to get used to it!! Strangely on some journeys you feel much more feedback than others - ie on warm days you feel less vibration than on colder days. Can’t work it out.
  25. N

    Shocking Steering Vibration.

Strangely the vibration seems worse on cold days - last Saturday where the temp was around 18 the vibration was less pronounced. Can’t work it out. Good luck - mine is a lease so can’t sell it on before the term without incurring significant cost. Love the car though and would take another...

    Shocking Steering Vibration.

Yep - same issue with our Dec 21 M3 LR. Noticed the vibration instantly as soon as I took delivery. It’s been back to Tesla 3 times and apparently they have balanced the tyres, rotated tyres for flat spots and checked all the suspension components and advised all is in order and drives like any...

    Road surface feedback

All - just wanted to get observations from M3 owners on the amount of road surface feedback that is felt on the steering wheel. I appreciate surface feedback is felt on all cars however it’s quite pronounced on my MIC 2021 M3 LR standard 18 wheels. Do you feel your M3 picks up surface feedback...

    Tesla Crawley - Supercharger

So on our return from a weekend from Brighton we stopped at the Gatwick / Crawley supercharger. BMW G05 X5 to Tesla Model Y LR

Likewise. I love my X5 - interior quality, refinement, ambient lighting, air suspension and presence and really is only used for the odd school run when my wife is not working at home or longer journeys. Saying that I plan to take the M3LR to Normandy this Spring. I’m stuck with the X5 for...

Thanks for that. Once I get the cycle racks I’ll get them on. Hopefully a quick job to take them off.

    Model 3 Roof rack stock

Got mine but not fitted them. Nervous that I might damage the roof. Also need to find some cycle carriers that are compatible. I think Thule do some that fit?

    Northampton SC

Seems Tesla strategy is to take over defunct dealerships that have close - Porsche dealership in Bournemouth and Norwich too. Keeps costs down. Surprised it is also a showroom - makes sense I guess. Thought Tesla was all about online sales.

8 supercharges also with a 24/7 lounge interestingly. Wonder what this will have other than toilets I assume? Does it make the camponile supercharges off the M1 up the road redundant?

    Northampton SC

My M3 was in at the MK SC sorting out some warranty issues - despite the long wait for an appointment the service was great. From the GoZero pick up / drop off to actually speaking with the technician that worked on my car. Those that have recently used the MK SC know they have been super busy...

    AnyVan Delivery to home

Received a text when they were leaving Leicester to drop my car off. Look out for damage under the front bumper. My M3 was touching a metal T bar near the cab which resulted in some light marking / damage to the bumper.

Quick question - what are the issues you are facing for these parts to be replaced. Steering wheel vibration?

Exactly - so I have a Saturday appointment so not to disrupt work. My wife had the idea we could make a day trip out of it and visit Stratford - nice place to spend a day. But yeah not really convenient.
