FSD TIMEOUTS WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING

Happens to me too. So frustrating! That's why I don't trust the Tesla locking people out FSD that they paid for nor do I trust their rating system for Tesla insurance.

Thread for the most minor of suggestions

My complaint wasn't about cost otherwise I wouldn't be asking for something that costs over twice as much. General driving absolutely tosses rocks into a windshield, especially if the roads are crappy. I also don't tailgate. I've also never caused an accident or gotten so much as a speeding...

I got a rock chip crack in my windshield about a year ago. It wasn't reparable. I didn't repair it because I knew it would just get more chips and I could live with the crack. The original crack spread. Today I got another chip which I'm sure will turn into another crack. I'll replace...

Thieves steal high-voltage Tesla Supercharger cables from Montrose(Houston) charging station

For sure. I'm from Houston. My parents are made fun of by others for driving Teslas by the same people who have had multiple cat converters stolen off their cars. Frankly, I'm surprised this hasn't happened much sooner.

Thieves steal high-voltage Tesla Supercharger cables from Montrose(Houston) charging station

If they just cut the cords and rolled coal out of there leaving them on the floor, I'd say that. but they took them. Way more likely to be crackheads selling the copper for scrap.

Is Elon thinking of REHIRING some of the fired SuperCharging folks

What does "best" people mean? Best is contextual, and in the tech world, the contexts change all the time. Is the best the fastest? Is it the one with the most connections? Is it the most flexible and cross-trainable? The best at site acquisition? Who gives a crap you have the Best...

Is Elon thinking of REHIRING some of the fired SuperCharging folks

I understand that this sounds like a stretch, but the best thing to ever happen in my life was to be laid off from my previous career. I was complacent. It was the devil I knew. I could do the job well but I wasn't happy and I wasn't motivated to go above or beyond for the job. It gave me...

Is Elon thinking of REHIRING some of the fired SuperCharging folks

I've come here from innocent cat video land. Apparently, it's not the same here and they won't take me back. :(

Thieves steal high-voltage Tesla Supercharger cables from Montrose(Houston) charging station

The most ridiculous thing is that the news video I saw said they had no idea why they would steal the cables. GEEEEEE, I WONDER WHY SOMEONE WOULD DO THAT? The news is a joke.

Is Elon thinking of REHIRING some of the fired SuperCharging folks

It's amazing that people who give the benefit of the doubt are "living in fantasy land"... but the people who jump to it being chaotic and reckless and he deserves to be fired... aren't living in fantasy. Both sides are just guessing as no one has met him, no one knows what's in his brain, no...

Thoughts on Superchargers After a 2300 mile trip

Sure did. Thanks. CCS has more stations. NACS has more stalls. Although this may have changed in the past year since this article was published. CCS: 2 stalls per station on average NACS: 11 stalls per station on average

Thoughts on Superchargers After a 2300 mile trip

Is that true? I don't know if that's true. In either case, I only used CCS about 3 times, and only one of those were a necessity.

Thoughts on Superchargers After a 2300 mile trip

Sounds like bad luck. I've been on multiple 3000+ mile roadtrips across the country and never had those problems. Never had to wait. Had some dicey navigation and arrival estimates, but not those problems.
  17. D

    Map data outdated

Reason #5 why I think robotaxis are farther away than they appear. I navigated to a park and if it followed the nav instead of the signs, I would been dropped off on someone's backyard half a mile away.

    Songs that just hit hard...

I could see that being the case. ...but it makes me so sad. Do people think energy in their ICE car is made from fairy dust? Run the AC, that effects mileage/range. Accessories run off the alternator connected by belts to the crankshaft.... which effects mileage/range. Only reason heat...

    Supercharger - Branson, MO (speculation)

    500 + Mile Range Debate

Tesla I think is the most efficient per dollar. Lucids are also twice as expensive. Make a $1,000,000 electric car and it could be even more efficient. ...but then what's the point?

How is USB audio music sorted?

For those that were on pins and needles, I got around to using this program. Turns out that the problem for me is that there were about 20 or so files that were WMA and I guess Tesla don't play that. Used a free program to convert to MP3. Bob's your uncle.

    500 + Mile Range Debate

That's the one thing that irks me. Elon is right that 99% of people will be perfect fine with 300mile car, or 300 miles CT... ...but people buy cars for the extreme they want, not by what they do 99% of time. Otherwise, the entire country would be driving in 30kwh Smart cars because that's...

FSD 12.3.3 first drive - safe, super boring

FSD 12.3.3 first drive - safe, super boring

Is there a way to adjust the driver's door to be easier to keep open? If I throw the door open, instead of it opening fully and staying open, if there is any inertia, it will bounce completely back and slam shut. I have to push it open and hold it in the open position for it to stay open...

FSD 12.3.3 first drive - safe, super boring

I want to reply to my own message to correct the record. I've heard from multilple that I trust and who were very critical of FSD that this newest iteration was amazing. I gave it another shot. It definitely performed much better. Took a long drive for about an hour and it performed...

FSD 12.3.3 first drive - safe, super boring

I've heard from multiple people I trust that it was gotten much better and they've gone hundreds of miles on FSD with no problem. I will give mine another chance. Perhaps my experience is just atypical for some reason. I hope so.

I eagerly downloaded 12.3.3 today. ... Now Elon. You know I love you... I've forgotten about that whole thing in college. IT'S BEHIND ME OKAY!? ... but yeah. I live in a mid-sized city with well-marked infrastructure. The first 3 decisions FSD had to make resulted in disengagements...

Campground Camping, Sleeping in MY Supply List

I like sleeping in cold weather and even with the back vents on, I have to keep the temp set to around 60 degrees for the sleeping area to be comfortable for me. My estimates are on those settings. Overnight climate control burns about 2% per hour in a temperate climate. When I've camped in...

Campground Camping, Sleeping in MY Supply List

That's why car camping in the woods is great. Instead of getting up, walking across cold tiles, turning on light, aiming for a 1sqft toilet hole, you're surrounded by all kinds of nature. Get up, go, jump right back in. Much less disturbing. Easier to go back to sleep. :)

Wait until there's a power outtage (or simulate one  ) and insist that instead of sleeping in the hot/cold house, you try sleeping in the car. Yeah, same here. Last straw for me was after visiting Pensacola... I just needed some place to crash and catch a wink. Because of some little league baseball championship or something all the hotels were taken and I paid $300 for a fleabag motel. Never again. I've driven coast to coast car...

I continue to be amazed at the hatred for EVs

Probably the funniest example is when I was charging my M3 and a C6 Corvette pulls up. Him: How far that thing go? Me: About 300 miles. Are you thinking about getting one? Him: Nope *burns out* ... ooookay....
