Nope. Not at all. The $7500 credit would have been enough.
This is Elon giving the administration a middle finger.
Right on about Ford/GM helped scheming the tax credit. How you punish a car manufacturer for making a better and lighter car (eventually good for the environment as it is...
I didn't lose AP but I lost Parking Assist after update. Got scared given all the news about USS removal and I park in a building complex garage with tight spots and pillars. After parking the car and returning in few hours, it was back to normal.
This is the last time I'm leaving my car...
Hi, I just picked up MYLR this month. The software update ran once after I took delivery and updated to 2022.28.200
However, I see that the latest software release is 2022.40.1. I also see bunch of software release in 2022.36.x
When I check my software update section, it says I'm on...
Regarding ride stiffness.... There is a huge improvements from 2021 to 2022 models. I first test drove in March 2021 and the suspension was so stiff (I felt every bumps and rocks on NYC streets) that it really made me think twice. This is from someone coming from a 20" Benz SUV...
Why do people think Power Frunk is a good idea? Assuming its connected to the either the 16v, you would not be able to get to the battery if the frunk can't be powered. This is why even luxury car like Lexus don't have powered hood....
what i am missing here?
This is very strange mentality indeed but I think most of us with investments and disposable income are in the same boat. I think I know how you are feeling. Spending 60K in this economy is not an easy decision. Last time I did that was in 2009 and I wished I had just use that money (I...
Anyone in NYC was able to get Brooklyn or Long Island to install mud flaps and rear door panel PPF? My friend just picked one up and Brooklyn refused to install or provide for free.
you won't see those changes unless you are looking for it. It's exciting but a little search on this forum, you will find some post that list out the differences.
Why not? instead of providing constructive feedback, he basically just complaint about a limited release. I mean... it is limited for a reason. I totally agreed with Elon here. We often get beta (even Alpha) versions of software but had to sign off all sorts of NDA and work closely with...
For those who haven't take delivery yet, are you
Appreciate it... getting anxious. Check the app today and they literally push my date back by 6 days.... my hopes are not high.
no, you didn't pay Microsoft for the OEM, the hardware manufacture did. You paid for the hardware and therefore the right to use it. Microsoft sold those licenses to hardware vendor, you paid them for the rights to use it with their hardware.
Of course Tesla can do whatever they like but it doesn't mean we have to like it or agree with it, customer can have an opinion you know.
As investors, we love it.
Feature flag.... That's their deployment model, not licensing model.
I can't think of any software that you pay separate on top of your hardware purchase that can't be transferred to the next compatible hardware.
So that would be like Tesla's OS with AP. FSD is like the software you purchased but only sticks to that computer. 5 yrs later you decided to upgrade to another computer, you have to buy the same software again. re: mobile app analogy above. Make no sense.
for every example here you gave, I can name hundreds of software license that's transferrable.
But let's stick with your MSFT example.... Windows Retail (remember, OEM is "free") and Office suites ARE transferable. Your OEM example would be more like AP because it's part of package...
That logic actually applies to current setup. The car will have FSD for life, regardless who's hand is it in. So Tesla will need to "support" it. On the other hand, if the software license stays with the account, you would need a Tesla to use it. What additional support are we talking...
I'm looking at these as well. Question on these mats, the backseat seems to extend more underneath the front seat more than 3DMax ones. Do they impede storage box or putting stuff underneath the front seats? Wondering if you had 3DMax as one of your comparison, any thoughts on those...
This is the problem of FSD. It barely retains any value. Not sure what's Tesla's own trade in is now but they don't count FSD into their pricing. Elon himself tweeted that it isn't right and should be fix.... But why would they? They don't need the software on the car, it has zero...
I'm on the same boat. $10k FSD and $6k EAP. Have been debating whether I should go for the whole bang. I only drive on the weekends and it would seem such as waste. I do keep my car for a long time. My current vehicle is 2009.... Assuming I keep this for 10 years, that's 1k a year...
Hi guys,
My EDD is coming up. I originally picked Brooklyn as the pick up location but now I'm beginning to second guess since I read some horrible reviews on Google. What are your experiences at delivery? Which locations would you recommend?
check out Ryan Shaw's list. It's pretty comprehensive and I don't always agree with his choices but it's a good reference. I also like Jowua's stuff. They are not resellers (For example, AbstractOcean basically resell their phone holder, you can see it in the description pictures)...
Came to this thread to figure out the difference between Elitect vs Kagu. Maker says its 3 layers more for snow and rain. Kagu is also 3 layers. So what exactly is the difference? Is it worth the extra money?
As far as logo is concern. Honestly, you guys can learn more from...
Gez.... these are the type of guys that gives Tesla owners bad reps. How does he know where and how long your next trip is? Unless you are fully charged and sat there for hours, he has no right to be an ass. Tell him to get to the charger earlier. You snooze you loose.
This could only happen in in east coast of Long Island. They probably think you are not local and are there only on the weekends. Another words, NYC snobs.
I don't know if its a troll or a bot but I do know people who canceled their orders after almost a year of waiting. People do change minds you know.... especially after being jerked around by Tesla with multiple pushback on EDD.
Not everyone is a diehard Tesla fan
I would refuse delivery if they can't promise to fix this somehow and even then it might takes months for them to do so. Honestly, when you pay over $60k for a car, you expect quality.
I also refuse to buy the line that Tesla buyers over scrutinized quality. I've never seen any of these...
Well, that's what part of a forum is for. Seeking/dishing advices, info sharing, Q&A and venting!!! If you didn't agree with the subject heading, you don't have to participate in the thread. Why burn a member for it? uncall for.
Are you saying at delivery day, they would negotiate on the trade in offer? Also, do they cut a check separately to you or is it deducted from the overall price of the Tesla order?
How does the Trade-in (old vehicles) for Tesla work? Can anyone share their trade-in (non Tesla models) experience? Do they take the old vehicle on the spot and give you the trade in amount in credits to apply to delivery or cut a check to you separately?
How about 3M Pro series? I also had headlight film in my 12yr old SUV and the headlights looks almost brand new with zero scratches. Too bad I forgot which brand of film I purchased. I believe it was either Lamin-X or 3M, they have been around the longest.
You are talking about a textbook definition of recession, any econ 101 class will teaches you that to start the definition of recession but if you paid attention in class, most classes will teach you the more accurate measurement is more than just GDP.
I can't believe we are back in Wheel hubs and caps days.... Anyways, I'm not super in love with the Gemini's wheel cover. I thought about plastic dip and vinyl covers but it's just too much trouble. Does anyone have any experience with Tpart's wheel cover? Are they less or more...
someone in Reddit spoke about their experience with Quatrac Pros... Ride comfort improved over from Goodyears (although that doesn't speak much, I think almost any top tier brand would be an improvement.)
