We just received an email about a new way to test drive a Tesla in north Tampa (Lutz). I am not sure if anyone knows if it is a new gallery or just a test drive center. This is located in the Tampa Outlets in Lutz. Fl.

Solar panels are being installed on the East side. Not connected yet as of August 8th. The shade was very nice!

Looks pretty much finished. You still can’t charge but the utility transformer is now there.

It all depends on what kind of service they are doing. You can always call the Tesla Supercharger phone number and they can give you a more accurate estimate of when they are planning on finishing it up. Like they said above, Charleston has some L2 chargers as well that you can use. Or you can...

I called the Building and Permit department of Jefferson county and they are not sure where it is yet. I can't seem to find an online permit search for that county

Permit has been issued now 3/18. We should hopefully see construction movement soon.

According to a Wawa store employee, the Lutz location should be at the East Bearss Ave location next to I-275. Address is 804 East Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33613

Supercharger is now open according to a Facebook post from Irena Smalkoski in the Tesla Florida group.

Perfect! Thank you for finding the pic! I spoke to Mike (the building inspector) yesterday and he said that construction of the chargers was finished. Not sure if they want to wait fit the WaWa to be finished yet or if Tesla will turn on the chargers before.

This is going to be great. Another one at the rest area. It should help with Turkey Lake as well. Loving all of these choices. Once Naples and Venice open, the I-75 route to South Florida is going to be pretty well covered.

Are they opening a new Supercharger near Wildwood?

Permit process is moving along. Last activity was today. Tesla had some permit application deficiencies but they have solved almost all of them. County is almost ready to give it full approval to begin construction. We may see some progress soon.

It looks like we are good. The Supercharger is now back in business and in the Tesla navigation with all stalls available!

I saw them working on the chargers today. Hopefully they can turn them on soon.

We charged there on 2/20/21 and hit ~170 kW on my Model 3 SR+ (Starting around 10%). Stalls were half way full. Everything appeared normal

As of today, this location is still not showing on the Tesla Navigation. Only the Macon Tom Hill location shows up. I do see some check-ins on PlugShare for successful charges in the past week or so.

There was a car accident that knocked down power to this location. It’s now showing as temporarily closed in the Tesla Navigation.
