Oh wow, its like, WTF?? Only the good old gang steering clear of numbers going the wrong way, or of any unconvenient news.

Wow..., maybe be specific about whats wrong then. Why the fanboy attitude..Lol

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is hard to hear for those who can't take critical news, but it's true. And they get A LOT more out of advertising than only price cuts.

Who will be the new TWTR CEO?

He is too addicted to the spotlight, I dont think there will be a new CEO, at least not one to be the new face of twitter to the outside world. Its Tesla who should have a (new) CEO.
  5. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Of course. But not with growth companies. First and foremost Tesla ia a growth compny, not a cyclical one. Last year Tesla could not produce enough cars to cover the demand. This year they produced more than they sold. But its no big deal for me.:-)

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

And thats how you should compare. (But 4% isnt "clearly dead"). I see YoY is much used in here, as it looks better than QoQ...But: Last year Tesla could not deliver enough cars, and cannot be compared to this quarter. Also, Tesla is priced as a growth company on Nasdaq (and then some), (and...
  7. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Wrong. Last year in Q1 Tesla could not deliver enough cars. Demand was bigger than production capacity. So yoy is not showing a realistic picture of the development in Teslas car sales. I know you want the market to see the prettiest picture, but what I stated above is the fair and correct way...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Not good when the CEO takes the top engineers out of the company you own shares in, to work in his own private company.. Only the cult cannot see that is troublesome..
  9. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

No way this is realistic in 2030, if ever. 10 models, thats an average sales of 2 million per model pr year. What would sales per model look like?

I guess everyone from Norway here can remember when the E-tron came.. Lots of arrogant e-tron buyers claiming that charging cables were too short. Because e-tron has the charge opening almost by the mirror, against the middle of the car. So all charging stations where you either back in, or go...

So delivery time has increased to over six weeks? What is so special about that? Electrek pumping the stock.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Oh.. Big difference in the Musk v Biden relationship if this is real. For Musk recognition seems to be very valuable.

I am speculating like everybody else. Its a discussion forum. China is known to not be very open and just society where you can do whatever you want to do with your business, IF you are lucky to have a business there and not be chinese. I thought this was obvious, but there you go..
  15. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Could be that a good portion of the cash theyh have is made in China, and can not "leave the country"..
  16. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Except you can not really measure Tesla against any of the other carmakers from which tesla "eats any lunch".
  17. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Lets say Tesla may have kicked themselves down from the 1st place they had (or have) when it comes to raising prices last couple of years.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

And a Cybertruck as a "delivery van" version. No clue how that would look like but.. And a car/van like the ID Buzz, with different versions; delivery van for the commercial market, and a family 7-seater (or 5). Would take many years to get close to saturate the market.

    Elon & Twitter

Anybody know if Musk has sued the old management at Twitter yet? If I remember correctly, it was some of those in here that was so sure it was because of the number of bots that Elon wanted to cancel the purchase, that said he would sue them.

Brn2Run said: To break 400k. Because of China. Because I dont see Tesla sprinting at the end of the quarter anymore, as they have said. so I was surprised. And guessed it had to be a round number.

I agree with everything. Cars delivered Q1 2023: My bet is 380 000. A bit lower than Q4, but Q1 is a quarter with lower sales. Some subsidies increase the demand, some the opposite. Norway introduced taxes for the first time ever on EVs yesterday. That had many order last year, and just like...

I think Tesla would be bankrupt without the subsidies they have gotten from 2012 and forward.

And there was no silicon in the anode when Sandy opened it up a while back. (Which can improve density up to 30-40%). Anyone know of any other Semi deliveries than to Pepsi? Was that a one off delivery and back to testing etc., or have they been ramping up deliveries all december?
  32. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Biggest factor to all this besides the macro is Elon`s behavior. It makes investors unsure, how much it will affect Tesla, both long-term and mid-term.
  33. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Profits came later. It was mostly hype. And a new generation of "investors", all hit at the same time. The latters somewhat low competence on earnings and market caps etc., made Tesla`s MC way too high. And I hear no good arguments as to why the price should go back up again (300+) the next 3-4...
  34. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I would set the odds to something like 9999, or higher. You forget Tesla`s market cap, and how much cash it takes to get a big enough bite of the Tesla cake. Only a handful can afford it, even with help from others. Bill Gates maybe, Bezos.. and people with that amount of money.
  35. Brn2Run

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

    Elon & Twitter

What if the market values Tesla more and more like the other car makers? What if they see todays PE still too high? What if the CEO leaves for an app company he buys, sits in the CEO role there, and behaves like an ass ..oonline. I would have sold half, or 3/4. Set limits to buy back in again...

    Elon & Twitter

Your first sentence, you know that is not true? Tesla does not include their R&D costs when calculating the margin, while everybody else does. If they would have included it, they would be in the middle of the pack. Maybe a little higher this year. Anyway, a bigger margin is as much about price...

Great article. When all of this Twitter mess is over and were looking back, I hope some spotlight come to those 8000 employees whos got their lives in limbo for so long. Especially with Musk telling them he will lay off a share of the workforce. And now he wants to drag the courtcase until...

Ive read much of the complaint. He behaves like he`s above the law, to put it mildly. He`s put himself in a very difficult position, it will cost him a lot of billions no matter what.
  43. Brn2Run

    Elon & Twitter

You think people are that unprofessional? What I think is Musk`s best card in this case is that the Twitter board and the judge, if they look at it isolated, do not want him to own Twitter. (alone)
  44. Brn2Run

    Elon & Twitter

I think Musk got bored with the whole Twitter thing. Lets hope he doesnt have to buy it. Twitter or similar companies ("town square, free speach) should not be a one man show. What if it wasnt Musk who was buying twitter, but some other of his opinion companions...? Would be even worse... Also...
