UK: Tesla after-sale experience reviews in UK. What’s your experience?

I’ve also had my M3P just over 4 years, and personally, I think the service has been very good. I’ve had a couple of Ranger visits, and a couple at the service centre (one after two years to check brakes etc). Booked everything through the app, and communication was very good and fast. I...

    Spotify - Liked Songs playlist

I’m pretty sure this is true - the Spotify account in the car is specific to your vehicle (hence you can make a playlist to use) but limited in that you can only listen to it in the car. I would think your only option is to sit in the car and search/add each song from the car list into a new...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Maybe I’ve missed an earlier part of this conversation, but I thought high-fidelity visualisation parking was Ryzan only, the latest release just added this to the Ryzan cars with USS? I’m not seeing these visualisations in my Atom based car as far as I can tell 🤔

First impressions on 2024.14.6 for me on a 2020 Atom car... Documented Like the trip progress bar Like the speed camera chime Like the wiper control Not been offered a new route yet, so we'll see Clearly not been in an average sped camera zone, as not seen that either I don't use Audible, but...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

It has been like this for a while on Intel Atom cars like mine (2020 M3P). I read this is a change on Tesla's side, and some of the other logging systems (like TeslaFi?) have offered up an option to 'treat offline as standby' as it is clearly not a simple fix...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I think it’s very dependant on how much you use during those peak hours. With two EVs and shifting our main usage to between 11:30pm and 05:30am where possible (think tumble drier, dishwasher etc), we’re now paying 12.35p/kWh for electricity over the whole month, which I believe is a pretty good...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

This never went away for me, but my understanding was that was because my M3 is 2020, hence Intel Atom. I did read earlier that this was now occurring on Ryzen cars with the latest releases of car software

    [UK] Spring Software Update

We had the update set to install overnight, but it had gone again before we went to bed 🙁… I’m sure it’s just trying to make me think I’m seeing things!

I'd prefer to be able to expand the satellite view and hide the little visualisation I have on the right - I can see all that out the windows. Actually, I can see more, as it only really sees vehicles, wheelie bins and cones... 😂

    Home charging

My understanding is that if your wall box/charger is supported by IO, go that way, else, go for the car. In my case, my PodPoint isn't supported, so it's the Tesla route for me

    Home charging

Indeed - I have had my wall charger about 4 years and everything has been fine. However, my next door neighbours have now tried to get a charger installed (along with solar) and they have been bounced, as it appears we are on a looped supply (bit odd, as they are 4/5 bedroom houses). Now North...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I had two cars in mine - I removed one, joined back to IO, then added it back. However, one of my cars is a lease, and the second car is ours, so I’m just a ‘driver’ on that. What I am trying to say, is each car actually has it’s own account/email address… I’m probably just confusing things…

    New Model 3 Range

I'm not sure this is true - I think there are lot of Tesla owners out there who have no clue about the figure 'up the top of the screen', and they just assume that is actually the range available. My wife has a Model 3, and still has that set to miles (rather than percent) as she insists she...

I'm with Arval and went through the disconnect/reconnect thing last night without any issue - not sure if that really helps you, sorry... I thought the email from Octopus wasn't very helpful regarding the virtual key - it is clear that as a lease customer you don't need one, but it wasn't so...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

As I posted on another thread, we have one of each (Ryzen/Atom) - both on 2024.8.7. Ryzen one is working fine on TeslaMate, Atom one showing offline. I saw there was a v1.28.5 of TeslaMate released, but looks like that may not fix it…

    Refer and Earn Leasing Help

I have a lease car, and we used the referral to purchase my wife’s car - I got the points on my lease car account, and am currently eating through the Supercharger miles I used them to get. Must admit that I have missed much of this thread, as my M3P refuses to go past 2023.44.30.14, but when I jumped into the wife’s car (which is on 2024.2.3) I noticed they have changed the font on the PIN to drive numbers screen to a lighter one. Sorry if this has been mentioned, but it’s...

    Average Wh/mi since owning?

Had my M3P since May 2020, so nearly 4 years. Mostly commuting about 40 miles a day into Manchester, but a couple of long trips (with Superchargers) each year. Total mileage: 47,990 Average: 310 Wh/mi

    2024 Insurance Costs

Had my quote through from LV for our two Teslas - one was up 31%, the other 50% (go figure!). I'm in the Martin Lewis '26-20 day' range, so a quick MoneySuperMarket search or two later and I'm now with Admiral, with both cars insured for less than the price of one with LV... Complete madness...

What company car fuel card does everyone use (AllStar doesn’t have access to Tesla SC)?

Whilst not ideal, could you not Supercharge against your credit card an reclaim it through expenses, or possibly use a company credit card? I guess it depends a little on your company policies for claiming mileage, and whether you get private miles covered...

My 2020 M3P got updated to .8 on Thursday, and since then I am getting frequent warnings from the off-side USS sensors, mostly the front, but both at times. I can be sitting at a set of traffic lights with no cars anywhere near, and suddenly the red line appears and I get a STOP warning, and I...

    TACC random slowing down

Not if it what you are asking, but when our cars do the ‘slow down’ I described earlier, the speed limit display remains showing 30mph, the car just slows for a while. It ‘feels’ like the cars know traffic slows at that point usually, and reacts accordingly, but I know that isn’t what is...
  44. spooksman

    TACC random slowing down

When using TACC (in the absence of a proper speed limiter!) we're seeing a place on a 30mph road where the car slows down to 20mph for 100 yards or so, then speeds back up to 30mph. It does this on both our cars (one 2020, one 2023) every time. This happens near a junction on the left, but there...

    Referral Miles Expiring

Thanks @init6, that’s helpful - that all appears to be related to additional referrals rather ‘purchasing’ with credits, but maybe that’s actually the same thing. I'm pretty sure that if I add another 300 in early Feb, all of the miles will extend for 6 months, which means I might be able to use...

    Referral Miles Expiring

I purchased 3,000 Supercharger miles with some referral credits a while back, and I still have about 1,500 remaining. However, it looks like these expire in late February 2024 (they are only valid 6 months), band I’m sure I read on here somewhere (can’t find it) that you can ’extend’ the...

    2023 Holiday Update

I think it might depend on the age of your car - I read somewhere that Tesla only started putting the interior cameras with infrared abilities in the newer cars (2021>?). I doubt if my old car can see in the dark
